For many years, the price of his herbs was not as good as a mountain, Han Kang's character and talent were famous in Chang'an City, everyone came to him to buy medicines as soon as they had any illness, and no one tried to bargain with him. He has been hidden in the city for more than thirty years as a drug seller, and is famous for "no price, no deception".
Once, a woman was infected with wind and cold, passing by Han Kang's medicine stall, she bought medicine from him, and the woman hoped that the medicine money could be adjusted, but Han Kang's temper has always been like this, and she would rather not sell or adjust the price. The woman angrily said, "Could it be that you are Han Boxiu?" Only to not let the counter-offer! After Han Kang listened, he sighed, "I have already lived so secretly, but today even the little girl knows that I am Han Boxiu, why should I sell medicine again?" A few days later, he packed his bags and fled into seclusion in the Baling Mountains.
When the imperial court learned of this, it sent people into the mountains several times in a row to search for han kang and recruited Han Kang to come out as an official, but Han Kang refused to live or die. Later, Emperor Huan of Han personally prepared a generous gift and sent a commissioner to ride a high cart on a horse to hire him. When the messenger came to the mountain grass hut with the holy will, Han Kang couldn't help himself and pretended to agree to go out of the mountain. But he insisted on not taking the official car, driving a broken ox cart himself, and set off before the messenger before dawn. When they arrived at a post pavilion, the chief of the pavilion was ordered to build a road and bridge for the imperial court official Han Zhengjun, and recruited Zhuangding livestock from the people. When the chief of the pavilion saw Han Kang clothed in a square scarf and drove an ox cart, he did not know him, thinking that he was a wild old man in the countryside, and he did not summon himself, so he ordered his men to rob his cattle. Han Kang did not move, unloading the car and paying the cattle. After a while, the messenger cart came one after another, only to learn that the old man was Han Zhengjun, and the pavilion chief was frightened like earth. The emissary asked Han Kang to behead the chief of the pavilion. Han Kang said calmly, "The cow was given to him by myself, what is the crime of the pavilion chief?" The Messenger stopped. Han Kang took the opportunity to escape on the way into Beijing (into the deep mountains and old forests) and died without illness by virtue of his high life.

The old man said: "I picked my own raw herbal oil from abroad, I thought I could sell it for a few dollars, but people don't use it, but they have to trouble Mr. Help, the old man can't repay, there are eight kinds of medicinal oils I made, and now you have put all the medicinal oils sprinkled together into this bottle, this bottle of medicinal oil will have a miraculous effect, you take it, it may be useful to you." When he finished, he drifted away.
After Huang Danian got the medicine, he was bent on trying the efficacy of the medicinal oil, and when there was an emergency illness in the neighborhood customers, he rubbed it with a little medicinal oil, that is, the medicine was eliminated. Huang Danian thought to himself: Why don't I refine this oil myself to meet the needs of the public? After some research, the medicinal oil he developed was no less effective than that given by the old man. Because the medicinal oil is made from the eight kinds of raw grass oil of the elderly, it is named Eight Treasure Ruyi Oil, and because of the efficacy of the medicinal oil, it is also called Wanying Ruyi Oil, which is officially sold in the Lantern Shop of Huang Danian. At that time, the currency was generally silver, and ruyi oil was particularly common copper and silver trading, no matter how big or small, as long as you give copper and silver, you can get a piece of eight treasures of ruyi oil, which is deeply welcomed by the poor people.
