The "frost fall" festival has arrived, and the 10,000 mu of persimmons in Yangjiao Township, Tang County, have entered the harvest period, of which the persimmons in Huapo Village are the most famous.

Located in the hinterland of the Taihang Mountains, The Village is densely covered with meadow soil and leaching cinnamon soil, which is suitable for persimmon growth. Flower pot village has a long history of cultivating persimmons, centuries-old persimmon trees are commonplace, the production of milling persimmons is large, sugar is more, best-selling Baoding, Tianjin, Beijing, persimmon cakes made of milling persimmons are good gifts for relatives and friends.
Taking advantage of the right weather, the villagers seized the time to pluck the persimmons from the trees, peel them, peel them off, and dry them to make a green food full of sugar frosting - persimmon cakes.
Picking persimmons is a technical job, in order to prevent persimmons from falling and scratching the peel, it usually requires the cooperation of two people, one person on the tree or on the ground with a special tool to pick the persimmons, and the other person with a woven bag supported by two wooden sticks to accurately catch it underneath.
In recent years, the government of Tang county's Giethoorn Township has actively explored new ways out of the persimmon planting industry, and broadened sales channels through e-commerce, live streaming and other forms. However, due to the restrictions of capital, technology, management and other conditions, the economic benefits brought by the persimmon planting industry to fruit farmers are not optimistic, and the industrial chain has yet to be extended.
In the next step, Giethoorn plans to learn from the experience of other regions and attract investment to build a fully automatic persimmon vinegar, persimmon vinegar drink, freeze-dried persimmon crisp and persimmon leaf tea production line, so that the traditional persimmon planting industry has become a new driving force for rural revitalization and development.
