The developer of The Legacy of Hogwarts is hiring senior character artists, and some details of the game are revealed in its job introduction.
WB Games and Avalanche Software, in their job requirements for senior role artists, mentioned how the developer created the most iconic creature in the Harry Potter world. For example, veteran character artists created not only hair, clothes, and skin for Hogwarts Legacy, but also animal furs and other related character systems.
The daily tasks for the post even include "creating human and biological anatomy/facials". The NPCs in Legacy of Hogwarts include not only humans, but also non-humans, as well as a variety of monster enemies. As an artist on the Hogwarts Legacy team, it wasn't just about creating visually appealing human students like Hermione, Ron, and Harry, it was about creating beautiful and believable fantasy creatures.
The recruitment requirements also mention that the team will give priority to applicants with experience in "human anatomy", as The Legacy of Hogwarts will still focus primarily on normal humans, including character creation.
Hogwarts Legacy will land on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PCs in 2022.
