Just when Pang Yanling had washed her clothes and was about to hang them on the drying line in the courtyard, suddenly there was a crisp noise in the house.
Pang Yanling couldn't care less about sorting out the wrinkled clothes on the clothes line, she rushed back to the house, only to see a basin full of water being overturned on the ground, and her son Xiaofeng lying in the water pool, his body twitching, and his mouth kept spitting out white foam. Pang Yanling hurriedly knelt on the ground and found that her son's tongue was tightly bitten, she didn't have time to think about it too much, she pried open Xiaofeng's mouth with force, she hugged her son tightly, and kept calling out her son's name.
Pang Yanling has experienced such a scene countless times, but every time her son falls ill, it will still make her heart like a knife. She looked helplessly at her painful son in her arms but there was nothing she could do but wait for him to slowly ease up. 9-year-old Lin Junfeng not only had severe epilepsy, but was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18 months of birth. On August 5, 2012, 30-year-old Pang Yanling gave birth to Xiaofeng. Because Huai Xiaofeng's monthly feet are full and she is in normal labor, the newborn Xiaofeng looks very healthy. It is said that the next generation of relatives, happy grandson Xiao Feng grandma looked at her big fat grandson happily, and took care of her grandson and daughter-in-law every day. When the child is a little older, almost all the work of caring for the child is taken over by the grandmother, except for breastfeeding. At first, Xiaofeng's grandmother was very happy, until her grandson was kindly reminded that it might be abnormal, and Xiaofeng's grandmother, who was a little unhappy in her heart, took her grandson back after a while, and when she returned home, she told her son and daughter-in-law everything that happened. At that time, Xiao Feng, who had been 18 months old, not only could not climb, but his whole body was like no strength, and he was always paralyzed. On February 16, 2014, Pang Yanling and her husband and wife got on a shuttle bus and came to Chifeng with their children. After completing the formalities, a series of inspections were done, and finally, the inspection results came out. When she first learned that her son had cerebral palsy, Pang Yanling's brain was buzzing, until now, the voice seemed to have not stopped, she was full of tears and trembled and begged the doctor: "Doctor, please be sure to cure my child, he is so young!" The doctor could only comfort him: "The child is still young, do a good job of rehabilitation, and it is still possible to return to the standard of living of normal people in the future." Pang Yanling's tears are like breaking the embankment, since her son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, it seems that when she sleeps at night, she can feel the tears flowing out of the corners of her eyes. When Grandma Xiaofeng learned that her grandson had such a serious illness, she fell ill at once, who had a bad heart. The family not only has to treat the child, but also takes care of the elderly, and is very busy. Since then, Pang Yanling has taken her son to begin intermittent and endless rehabilitation. Only later did she learn that there was no special treatment for cerebral palsy, and she could only rely on slow exercise in the later stage to recover. She took Xiaofeng to receive professional rehabilitation exercises from doctors during the day, and listened to the doctor's advice to give Xiaofeng a massage at night, so five months passed, and she was discharged from the hospital with her son. But the reason for being discharged from the hospital was not that Xiao Feng's illness was better, but that the family had no money. Massage on time every day, in addition to exercising his cognitive and language skills, massage the muscles of the mouth, and use his hands to let him exercise walking. It seems that since then, Pang Yanling has never slept a single night, every two hours at night, she has to get up to check her son's situation, sleep in the wrong position and help him straighten out, and avoid him from wetting the bed. Pang Yanling's spirit also became worse and worse due to the fatigue of the whole day, and she suffered from severe lumbar disc herniation due to the need to bend down for a long time to work and take care of children. Xiao Feng's father works outside, and every time he earns a sum of money, he will call home for the first time to buy medicine for his old mother and the family's living expenses, and the remaining part will be saved for Xiao Feng's next rehabilitation treatment. Whenever there is enough money for a treatment, Pang Yanling will take Xiaofeng to the hospital. When Xiaofeng was about to turn 7 years old, he had already received several rehabilitation treatments intermittently. He can finally walk a short distance against the wall, and he can also say some relatively simple words, but due to unclear pronunciation, Pang Yanling will often not understand what her son is saying, which makes the family see the dawn of hope, they feel that as long as they continue to persevere, Xiaofeng will be fine! Now that Xiaofeng is 9 years old, every seizure makes him extremely painful, and the effect of medication relief is not ideal. Doctors have identified the lesions that cause Xiaofeng's epilepsy, and as long as surgery is performed, Xiaofeng's epilepsy can be cured, otherwise it may have an irreversible impact on Xiaofeng's future rehabilitation. But two years ago, when Xiaofeng was diagnosed with epilepsy, he had spent all of his family's savings, and Xiaofeng's father had only relied on a few acres of land at home to survive since he stayed at home to take care of the elderly and children.
They watched their son suffer so much, so they began to piece things together, borrowing money from relatives and friends, but they were still far from Xiaofeng's surgery costs.
