According to Taiwan's "Zhongshi News Network" on June 29, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake occurred at 1:30 p.m. today (29th) off the coast of Eastern Taiwan, with a epicenter 51.3 kilometers south-southeast of the Yilan County Government and a depth of 67 kilometers.

When the earthquake struck, northern Taiwan was visibly felt, and the Taipei Basin shook horizontally for two or three seconds. According to the observation of the Taiwan Meteorological Department, the maximum magnitude of this earthquake was in Yilan, and Yilan City had a magnitude of 3.
