One morning in November this year, Ms. Xu, who was out running errands, accidentally lost her mobile phone, and she called the police for the first time. What Ms. Xu did not expect was that 20 minutes after reporting the crime, the police helped her retrieve the lost mobile phone.
As early as April 2020, the special patrol police brigade of the Suzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau's Wanqiao Branch dispatched 10 high-quality civilian auxiliary police to form a plainclothes team, which carried out plainclothes patrols and video patrols full-time to crack down on street embezzlement cases.
Over the past year, the plainclothes team has arrested more than 200 suspects of various types of illegal crimes, recovered more than 1,000 items of various types, and recovered more than 3 million yuan in economic losses for the masses.
