The ever-critically acclaimed multiplayer co-op psychic horror game Phasmophobia will undergo a major VR makeover in 2022.

Developer Kinetic revealed a detailed roadmap for the game, including difficulty options and progression plans. But optional VR support for the game needs to be updated, including a VR interaction system that can be moved to OpenXR and compatible with Unity engine updates.
The developers also plan to optimize vr, hoping that users will get a better gaming experience on the PC. This could indicate that Phasmophobia will also appear on other headsets, such as quest or other PSVR.
At the same time, other updates are underway. The game will offer custom difficulty options, for example, allowing the user to change the duration of the hunt and turn off the flashlight. The game also plans to make two-part progression updates, including new upgradeable devices, new models and animations, and a new upgrade system, with the second part of the update also providing daily and weekly challenges and optional goals.
What is not mentioned in the plan is whether Phasmophobia will be upgraded to version 1.0 in 2022, as it is still in the early access stages.
