On August 5, iQIYI International announced that the first Southeast Asian self-made drama "Soul Ferry Nanyang Legend" was officially launched recently, and announced that the male protagonist of the drama, Wang Guanyi, was the first VIP member ambassador of iQIYI International Station. "Soul Ferry • Nanyang Legend" is adapted from iQIYI's classic suspense IP "Soul Ferry", based on the original story, with Singapore and Malaysia "World War II" as the main story background, recreating the history of Singapore and Malaysia at that time. The drama will be supervised by the famous director Guo Jingyu, veteran media producer Yang Xibin as the producer, the original "Soul Ferry" director Guo Shimin and singaporean famous director Xie Minyang co-directed, Singapore young actor Wang Guanyi, Singapore's well-known actress Ou Xuan, Chinese actor Qi Yuwu led the starring. "Soul Ferry • Nanyang Legend" innovates and integrates the Nanyang style, integrating Nyonya and other elements with Nanyang cultural symbols, which is very localized in Southeast Asia. The series will be filmed mainly in Singapore and Malaysia, with locations such as The Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Clarke Quay, Orchard Road and more.
