In the Ejina Banner on the northwestern border of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, sits one of the largest overseas Chinese townships in the western part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region- Wentugaol Sumu.

In 1956, 30 Mongolian herders crossed the China-Mongolia border through diplomatic channels and returned to the embrace of the motherland.

Today, there are fewer than 400 herders living on this land the size of 2.5 shanghai cities. Agudam is the loyal guardian of the land, the director of the Ventugaol Border Police Station.

It is reasonable to say that the jurisdiction is sparsely populated and the workload of public security business is small, and the director of this police station should be a complete "idle post", but because of his hobby of "taking care of things", Agudam has become the busiest person in the whole Sumu.

The new director was a doctor

In 2002, Agudam graduated from inner Mongolia University for Nationalities with a major in Mongolian medicine, because of his childhood feelings of joining the army and serving the country, he put on his military uniform, came to the sky-like Alxa more than 2,000 kilometers away from home, and took the initiative to apply to work at the most remote Suanjingzi Border Defense Police Station.

In 2019, after the reform of the national immigration management system, the health team was abolished, and Agudam's medical expertise lost its "place of use". In July 2020, Agudam applied to the organization to work in a difficult and remote grassroots front-line unit.

"You know what? The chief of the police station sent from above is a doctor, or a Mongolian doctor! "A few days after I first came to the police station, the entire WeChat group of the Sumu people was circulating such news.

The 67-year-old Dark Cloud, a herder from VenturGolegZhile Tugacha, suffered from severe rheumatoid disease 3 years ago and had been bedridden for a long time.

After Agudam became the director, he took the initiative to form a pair of help with the elderly when he first visited the elderly, and in the following year, a figure dressed in a police uniform and carrying a medical kit has been shuttling back and forth between the police station and the old man's home.

Agudamu uses the Mongolian medical physiotherapy techniques he is good at to carry out acupuncture massage and rehabilitation therapy for the elderly. After some efforts, the condition of the old man with dark clouds has been alleviated to a certain extent, and he has been able to move to the ground. Now, the old man's smile gradually increased, and he also boasted: "Agudamu, a good doctor!" ”

Nashun Jizhi Gala elderly people have long suffered from right knee joint bone hyperplasia, treatment of the disease requires injection of sodium hyaluronate, on May 24, 2021, the old man went to Ejin Naqi to inject drugs, after learning of this situation, Agudam took the old man to the border police station, injected him with sodium hyaluronate, relieved the old man's worries.

Up to now, Agudam has traveled a total of 4,500 kilometers, provided more than 120 people with voluntary physical examination and treatment for the public, purchased more than 3,000 yuan of drugs, coordinated 4 people to go out for medical treatment, and became a "police doctor" loved by Sumu people.

The ledger of the "Overseas Chinese Love People Service Vehicle"

"3 pounds of tomatoes, 20 pounds of carrots, 20 pounds of Chinese cabbage, 10 pounds of green onions, 5 boxes of diclofenac, and 3 boxes of veterinary drug dysentery bacteria net..." When the first rays of sunlight in the morning shone into the Alxa Plateau, Agudam sent the news that the "Overseas Chinese Love People Service Car" was about to return from Ejina Banner to the WeChat group of the jurisdiction, and a "order" followed.

Ventugaol Sumu is located in the hinterland of the Badain Jaran Desert, 90% of the jurisdiction area is the Gobi Desert, Sumu is 210 kilometers away from the nearest city, Ejin Banner. In order to better serve the people in the jurisdiction, on July 7, 2019, Agudam took the lead in setting up the "Overseas Chinese Love People Service Vehicle", where herders listed their needs, and the police station was responsible for buying materials on behalf of Ejin Naqi and handing them over to the people.

"Be good at settling accounts and calculating big accounts!" At the Ventugaol Border Police Station, this is Agudam's mantra.

"Sumu is 210 kilometers away from Ejin Naqi, and it costs 300 yuan for oil money to go round-trip, and it takes most of the day to catch up." We help 10 households to purchase materials at a time, which is equivalent to saving them 2500 yuan, and the service car runs 3 times a month, which can save more than 100,000 yuan a year. This is just an economic account, and the people's account behind it is even bigger! Agudam said.

Find livestock for herders

"Director, my sheep and camels are gone, so hurry up!"

In the early morning of July 12, 2021, 30 sheep and 5 camels from the herdsmen's family in the jurisdiction were accidentally lost, and Jihulen dialed Agudam's phone after two days of fruitless searching alone.

After receiving the police, Agudam quickly led the police to rush to the scene of the incident, took the drone high-altitude return screen to direct the ground police force to search, and finally found 30 sheep and 5 camels in the Gobi Hills, successfully recovering more than 70,000 yuan in economic losses for the herders.

"Unexpectedly, it only took half a day to help me find my livestock!" Ji Hulen, who had found the sheep, closed his mouth happily and took Agudamu's hand and said happily.

"Being needed by the people is a valuable life!" Today, the 43-year-old Agudam still carries a police bag in one hand and a medical kit in the other, and still walks through the depths of the desert. (End)
