Reasons for participation:

Beijing, April 15, 2021 – GE Healthcare launched the 2021 Rural Female Teacher Training "Tinder Program" public welfare activity. The public welfare project is mainly for female teachers in rural areas in remote areas in the west, through providing 1-3 training courses for 30 people per session, lasting about 18 days, aiming to build capacity for rural female teachers in remote areas, improve their comprehensive quality and education and teaching level, broaden their horizons, eliminate professional burnout, so that rural children, especially left-behind children, can also enjoy high-level compulsory education, and support "rural education revitalization" from the perspective of educating people. At the same time, GE Healthcare also donated RMB 400,000 to the Beijing Yicheng Cooperative Development Foundation for the enrollment, training, and activities of the Tinder Project.

This public welfare project includes three parts of female teacher training, growth groups and family education activities in the community, through the acceptance of advanced education and teaching concepts in Beijing, patriotic education, scientific and technological literacy education, red development education, etc., back to the rural areas where female teachers teach, and through the way of female teachers' growth groups and family education into the community, psychological experts are arranged to carry out psychological support, psychological experience and outdoor development activities for the common growth problems of female teachers. Thus influencing and driving more rural female teachers and rural families, working together to promote the education and development of rural children, and achieving "knowledge changes destiny" and "technology changes destiny" through education.

1. Training for female teachers in Beijing

To broaden the horizons of rural female teachers and to enhance their gender awareness, female leadership, and ability to serve rural children and families. From July to August 2021, a 15-day training course will be carried out, and through the recommendation of the local education bureau and the Women's Federation of the "Three Districts and Three Prefectures", female teachers from townships and towns in remote areas and below will be openly recruited and selected to gather in Beijing. The training course focuses on gender awareness, female leadership, teacher psychological construction, children's health (physical, psychological, social health), child observation, family education guidance, school social work, rural children's patriotism education, rural children's financial and business education, rural children's safety education, rural children's scientific and technological literacy education, observation and exchange, etc.

2. Female Teacher Growth Group Activities

In order to help female teachers understand, recognize and explore themselves, develop their inner psychological energy, and maximize the use of their own internal and external resources to help self-development. From September 2021 to April 2022, six growth groups are planned to be established according to the school district where the female teachers are participating. Each group carries out 2 online activities and 2 offline activities according to the theme. The online activities are mainly psychological support activities carried out by psychologists in Beijing in response to the common growth problems of female teachers, and the offline activities are mainly psychological experiences and outdoor outreach activities carried out by group members.

3. Female teachers go to the community to preach family education activities

In order to help female teachers obtain the support of community families and make up for the lack of family education in rural communities, from September 2021 to April 2022, 60 female teachers participating in the training in the community where the local school is located will each carry out 1 family education activity or parent-child activity in the community where the school can radiate, and 2 people and 1 group will carry out a total of 30 family education into the community activities.

Since its launch in 2003, GE Healthcare's "Tinder Program" has been adhering to it for 18 years, training nearly 1,000 rural female teachers, so that they can expand their knowledge and understand a more exciting world outside through the window of GE Healthcare. Among them, there are 999 female teachers from rural primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Yun, Gui, Sichuan, Gan, Ning, Nei, Gansu and other places, including 16 ethnic minorities in Naxi, Lisu, Mongolia, Dong, Liyi, Hani, Tibetan, Miao, Tu, Yi, Bai, Dai, Hui, Shui and other 16 ethnic minorities, with a cumulative impact on hundreds of thousands of students.

GE Healthcare will unswervingly take social responsibility as an important mission of organizational development, continue to promote the "Tinder Project" public welfare projects throughout the country, through the "Tinder Project" public welfare activities, broaden the horizons of rural female teachers, improve their gender awareness, female leadership, and ability to serve rural children and families, and explore the establishment of a support system for the growth of rural female teachers to contribute to the balanced development of urban and rural education.
