"As the first concert of this year's Chengdu Symphony Orchestra Music Season, we selected Beethoven's works, first of all, because Beethoven is the most representative composer of classical music, then we chose his seventh symphony today, which is also a very joyful, dance-oriented, celebratory and cheerful atmosphere of a symphony work, so the selection of music is also in line with the theme of our first 'joyful dance'."

Lin Musen revealed that the preparation of tonight's concert is a very difficult challenge for the newly formed Chengdu Symphony Orchestra, "Usually the formation of a new symphony orchestra, according to the past practice, it may first focus on training for 10 days, 15 days or even longer, through the rehearsal of the voice part, the training of the group, and then there will be a final presentation." But our concert was so intensely focused because of the pandemic that we only went through three days of rehearsals in December, when the time was very tight. Lin Musen said that the next two performances of the music season and the New Year's concert at the end of the year are also very worth looking forward to, "Because our orchestra has just begun to form, and I believe that through the three concerts of the music season, everyone can run into a more tacit understanding, our official premiere will be the New Year concert on December 29 this year, and we hope that we can present a complete and high-quality performance to the audience in Chengdu."
