Beijing News (reporter Zhou Huixiaowan) on October 24, local time, on the earlier report that Netflix, Apple and other streaming media and MGM discussed buying the North American authorization of "007: No Time to Die", directly on the streaming media, the latest report in the MGM side clearly answered "no".

007 starred Daniel Craig.
According to the report, MGM did have a discussion meeting with the streaming media, when MGM decided to push "007: No Time to Die" from the November schedule of this year, and they and the film's copyright owner Eon Company also considered a high-level video-on-demand mode contract similar to "Mulan" and charged the audience directly. However, no streaming company was willing to pay the fees required for a year's copyright, and more importantly, Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the "007" series, explicitly rejected the contract. A MGM spokesperson also said that "007: No Time to Die" will be released in theaters to bring audiences a theatrical viewing experience.
The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented MGM Pictures from its current shooting operations, and its latest work, 007: No Time to Die, has been held in its hands and cannot be monetized, causing the company a loss of $30 million to $50 million. However, "007" is still regarded as the most important IP on HAND by MGM. Foreign media pointed out that the "007" level of IP blockbusters, the separation of distribution rights (outside North America is global distribution) and the cooperation of a number of advertising manufacturers, making it more complicated to operate if it wants to be streamed.
