Shanghai as the ice and snow sports "south exhibition westward expansion eastward" strategy of "eastward expansion" bridgehead, Yangpu Riverside, a landmark building that has witnessed Shanghai's century-old industrial development, Shanghai conscientiously practices the "people-centered" concept of running the competition, through the practical measures of holding this cross-country skiing competition to contribute to the Beijing Winter Olympics; on the other hand, it also provides the people of Shencheng with the opportunity to understand ice and snow, participate in ice and snow, and help "drive 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports" The grand goal; at the same time, it also fills the gap in holding international snow events. It has accelerated the construction process of Shanghai's world-famous sports city. In this Shanghai race, the city cross-country skiing light show was also specially added, and the cross-country skiers wore colored lights and held glowing ski poles, and flew on the track under the lights, and for a time the Huangpu River was full of lights and lively.
The competition adopts the international advanced environmental protection and energy-saving urban high-temperature snowmaking technology, SNOW FACTORY equipment will introduce water into the snow container, cool and freeze in the box, and then promote the machine to grind, polished into snow after the compressed air blows out of the box to form snowflakes. This kind of high-temperature snowmaking has low energy consumption, low loss and zero pollution to the surrounding environment, and is currently the most respected urban snowmaking model. Through the help of science and technology, southern cities have the conditions to carry out cross-country skiing, making the "cold sport" of ice and snow a "hot fashion" in the streets and alleys. The "Shanghai Experience" of hosting the City Race will also provide demonstration and valuable experience for other cities. (End)
