Liverpool winger Markovic is one step closer to joining Fenerbahce on loan, and the Serbian rising star has passed a medical examination, according to Sky Sports.
Markovic moved from Benfica to Liverpool for £20m last summer, but he has few chances to play at Anfield. So far this season he has not played for the Reds.
Now Markovic will spend the season in Fenerbahce, where he will be team-mate with former United striker Imperson van Persie in Istanbul. Fenerbahce will play in the Europa League group stage, where they are in the same group as Celtic, Ajax and Molde.
