Former NBA player Niccolò Melli recently gave an interview to European media Eurohoops about his return to Milan Olympia after leaving the NBA.
Mellie played for Milan Olympia in the 2011–15 season. Speaking about joining the team, Mellie said: "I signed Olympia before the NBA free agent market started, so I made a clear choice. When I talked to Coach Messina (former Spurs assistant coach), he and the team won my heart, which is why I don't regret it. I'm happy with my NBA experience, and I'm excited to be here, and I'm waiting for the challenges that are about to come. ”
"Playing in the NBA before has given me a lot of experience. Even though I didn't play much in my second season. I absorbed a lot of good things and also got it in the national team. I've played against the best players in the world, but there are also good players here. Mellie said.
According to previous reports, Mellie has reached a 3-year contract with Italian club Milan Olympia.
In the 2020-21 regular season, Melley played in 45 games for the Pelicans and Lone Rangers, averaging 3.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
