Hanyao Ruins Park is located in the southeast corner of Qujiang New District in Xi'an, close to Qujiangchi Ruins Park, across the water from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Datang Furong Garden and Datang Sleepless City.
Legend has it that the love story of Xue Pinggui and Wang Baojun, which occurred in this place in the late Tang Dynasty, is china's first love-themed cultural park built with the qujiang Hanyao kiln site as the core, and is one of the six theme parks in Xi'an.
The cave dwellings are unique to the Loess Plateau in northwest China, and have a very strong Chinese folk customs and local atmosphere. During the Tang Dynasty and Chang'an period, living in cave dwellings on the outskirts of Chang'an City showed that life was very poor.
The original form of the story is as follows: there is a dilapidated cave in the west of Wudianpo Village near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the south of Xi'an City, which is now located in the Qujiangchi Ruins Park in Qujiang New District, Xi'an, and the inscription on the cave is "Ancient Cold Kiln", which is said to be the place where Wang Baojun guarded the cold kiln for eighteen years and waited for her husband Xue Pinggui to return. There is also a ancestral temple in front of the kiln, with statues dedicated to Wang Baojun and Xue Pinggui, and a couplet on the ancestral pillar: "Eighteen years of ancient wells without waves, for the martyrs and virgins, a different face; more than a thousand years old cold kiln to the sun, look at the winding river flowing here, want to see the ice heart." ”
In the TV series, Wang Baojun was the third daughter of Wang Yun, the chancellor of the Tang Dynasty during the Tang Yizong period, and despite her father's words, she married the poor Xue Pinggui as his wife. Breaking off relations with his father's three high-fives and driving him out of the house, wang Baojun spent 18 years alone in the cold kiln because Xue Pinggui went out with the army to pacify Xiliang. Later, Xue Pinggui's life was revealed, and Wang Baojun was admitted to the palace, and the husband and wife were reunited.

Qujiangchi Ruins Park was rebuilt on the original site, restoring and recreating the historical and cultural landscapes such as Qujiang South Lake, Qujiang Liushui, Hanwu Spring, Yichun Garden, and Phoenix Pond, reproducing the grand scenery of Qujiang River.
