People's Daily Tokyo, October 15 (Wu Ying) According to the "Asahi Shimbun", the Japanese private investigation company announced the "charm ranking" of 47 prefectures in 2020 on the 14th, and Tochigi Prefecture replaced Ibaraki Prefecture, which ranked at the bottom for seven consecutive years, as the last.

The list was launched by the Tokyo-based Brand Research Institute, which began a survey in late June and lasted a month and received answers from about 32,000 people online. On the list, Ibaraki Prefecture has been at the bottom of the list from 2013 to last year, rising to 42nd this year. From the survey, we learned that the answer that Ibaraki Prefecture was "very attractive" rose to 5.0 percent from 2.3 percent last year. Among them, the number of people in their 20s has increased sharply from 2% to 7%.

When Kazuhiko Oigawa, governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, learned of the results, he said in an interview with great anticipation: "I am sure that Ibaraki Prefecture will develop better, not just stay in 42nd place." Previously, Ibaraki Prefecture worked hard to rectify the cycling route of Lake Xiapu and actively promote the tourism charm of agricultural products such as white melon. In addition, the Ibaraki prefectural government has also worked with the public to improve the charm of the locality, and in July this year, it set up a civil society organization to promote the charm in an effort to get rid of the embarrassing situation of the last place.

Tochigi Prefecture Governor Fukuda Fukuda, who ranked at the bottom of the ranking, expressed dissatisfaction with the results and questioned the measures of charm and strength in the "Charm Rankings", arguing that the respondents to the survey should be many people who have nothing to do with Tochigi Prefecture.

Hokkaido has won the first place in the ranking for 12 consecutive years, the second place is the same as the previous year's Kyoto Prefecture, and the 3rd and 4th places are reversed from last year, okinawa prefecture and Tokyo prefecture respectively.
