In the men's 1000m Group A competition, China's Ning Zhongyan won the championship in 1:06.656 and set a personal best. In the women's group start competition, Guo Dan finished fourth with 8 minutes 30 seconds and 180 seconds, just one step away from the medal.
A total of 20 runners competed in the men's 1000m Group A competition, which was divided into 5 groups. Ning Zhongyan, who started from the fifth group, skated a personal best of 1 minute 06.66 seconds, and none of the other players surpassed it, and they did not let them win the championship. The winner was won by American Brittany Bowe in 1:52.054, while Japan's Nana Takagi and Ayano Sato were second and third respectively.
In the men's team pursuit, the Chinese team composed of Ning Zhongyan, Alemas Kahanbai and Hanahati Muhameti ranked sixth in 3:40.220, the United States team won the championship in 3:35.586, and Norway and Canada finished second and third respectively. (End)
