Former Cardinals quarterback Lindley became a university assistant professor

Former Cardinals quarterback Ryan Lindley will return to his alma mater as a teaching assistant.

On Thursday, San Diego State University officially announced that Lindley will join Rocky Long's coaching staff as a second-line teaching assistant for graduate students.

Lindley was a six-round picker for the Cardinals in 2012, playing in nine games in three seasons, starting six of them, including the playoff loss to the Carolina Panthers 16-27 in 2014. He also spent time with the Lightning and Patriots, playing a game for the Mas in 2015.

In his 10 regular season games, Lindley advanced a total of 1372 yards, touchdowns three times, and intercepted 11 times. He joined the CFL last year as a member of the Redblacks of Ottawa, completing 40 of 81 passes, advancing 391 yards, moving one touchdown and being intercepted three times.

Lindley has also coached several hot quarterbacks before the draft over the past four years, including Carson Wentz, Jared Goff, Mitchell Trubisky, C.J. Bissard. Beathard) and Luke Falk.
