
Xu Xiangqian, whose original name was Xu Xiangqian, was born on November 8, 1901 in Yong'an Village, Wutai County, Shanxi Province. In 1924, at the age of 23, Xu Xiangqian graduated from the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy. Three years later, in 1927, he joined the Communist Party of China and spent his life fighting on horseback, establishing immortal merits for the liberation of New China. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of Marshal of the People's Republic of China, and was awarded the Order of August 1 of the First Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom of the First Class, and the Liberation Medal of the First Class. Since then, Xu Xiangqian has successively served as vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China, vice premier of the State Council and minister of national defense. He died in Beijing on September 21, 1990 at the age of 89. Before his death, he wrote books such as "Review of History" and "Selected Military Writings of Xu Qianqian".
Marshal Xu Qianqian married four wives in his lifetime, the first of whom was called Zhu Xiangcia and gave birth to a daughter, Xu Songzhi. He died in 1924. The second wife, Cheng Xunxuan, was killed by Zhang Guotao in 1931 and had no children. The third wife, Wang Jing, gave birth to a daughter, Xu Luxi. Three years later, the two broke up due to emotional disagreement. The fourth wife, Huang Shulian, gave birth to a son and a daughter, namely son Xu Xiaoyan and daughter Xu Xiaotao.
1. The eldest daughter Xu Songzhi
Xu Songzhi, born in 1922, the mother is Zhu Xiangcia. In 1941, Nie Rongzhen, the political commissar of the 115th Division, sent someone to take Xu Songzhi to Yan'an, changed his name to Xu Zhiming, and then joined the revolution. After liberation, he worked in a hospital of the People's Liberation Army until his retirement. He is now 93 years old and in good health.
Second, the second daughter Xu Luxi
Xu Luxi, born in 1941, the mother is Wang Jing. In 1960, at the age of 19, Xu Luxi was admitted to the Department of Solid State Physics of the University of Science and Technology of China, and after graduation, he was admitted to the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for graduate studies. In 1967, he was branded a "5.16 element" during the Cultural Revolution, and after a long period of review, he was sent to the "May Seventh Cadre School". He has worked in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Information Center, is the former director of the State Information Center, has been engaged in scientific and technological work, and is a computer expert. Later, he founded Beijing Jiawei Yi Information System Co., Ltd. and served as the chairman of the board. Now Xu Luxi is 74 years old and in good health.
Third, son Xu Xiaoyan
Xu Xiaoyan was born in February 1947 to Huang Shulian. When he graduated from high school in 1966, the Cultural Revolution broke out. He joined the army in 1968. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University in 1975. After graduation, he studied at New Skesher Technical University in Canada and obtained a master's degree in computer science. After returning to China, he worked with colleagues at a research institute of the Second Artillery Corps to develop China's first generation of Chinese character computers. He was promoted to the rank of major general in 1995. He was the director of the Communications Department of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, and in July 2005, he was appointed deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region with the rank of lieutenant general. In January 2006, he was appointed deputy director of the Science and Technology Committee of the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army. His wife, Wang Yanyan (a military doctor), was the eldest daughter of Wang Yinggao, a founding general and former political commissar of the armored corps of the Beijing Military Region.
