Quanzhou, 17 Dec (Xinhua) -- "Naked Feelings -- A Hundred Years of Photography of Overseas Chinese compatriots of Fujian Nationality" was exhibited at the Overseas Chinese History Museum in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, on the 17th. In the form of light and shadow, the exhibition vividly reproduces the magnificent historical process of revolution, construction, reform and opening up over the past hundred years with the people of Fujian nationality and the people of their ancestral (nationality) countries breathing together and sharing a common destiny.

2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Over the past 100 years, overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese from Fujian have made important contributions to the revolutionary war, the period of national construction, and the new period of reform and opening up, and have written a touching chapter.

Zhang Yao, vice chairman of the Fujian Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, introduced that this exhibition has previously been exhibited in the Fujian Overseas Chinese Theme Museum and the Museum of Overseas Chinese History of China, and the content of the exhibition is included in the atlas "Feelings of the Naked Son -- A Hundred Years of Patriotic Stories of Overseas Chinese compatriots of Fujian Nationality" edited by the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

"Quanzhou is a big city of overseas Chinese affairs in Fujian, and many of the precious photos and touching stories behind this exhibition are closely related to Quanzhou, so the exhibition is exhibited in Quanzhou after Fuzhou and Beijing, which is of great significance." Zhang Yao said.

Sponsored by the Fujian Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, organized by the Fujian Overseas Chinese Photography Society and the Quanzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and co-organized by the Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum, this exhibition is of positive and important significance for remembering the historical merits of overseas Chinese compatriots in Fujian, inheriting and carrying forward the spirit of overseas Chinese, and encouraging the people of overseas Chinese to unite as one and join hands to march towards a new journey of struggle.

At the opening ceremony of the same day, Zheng Pengfei, general manager of Dehua Shunmei Ceramics Co., Ltd., donated ice piers and snow melting ceramic ornaments for the Beijing Winter Olympics mascot produced by his company to the Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum.

It is understood that this exhibition is divided into four chapters: "Saving the Survival of the People's Republic", "The Great Cause of Nation-Building", "Open Cooperation" and "Chasing Dreams with One Heart", selecting 100 touching stories of overseas Chinese from Fujian and more than 100 precious photos to commemorate the historical merits of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese and inherit the spiritual style of overseas Chinese. The exhibition will run until January 16, 2022. (End)
