On June 26th, the "Magnificent Epic, Great Leap - Theme Exhibition of Sichuan Province Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" was launched at the New International Convention and Exhibition Center of Chengdu Century City. In the 11,000-square-meter exhibition hall, among the more than 400 physical exhibits, there is a "big one" that is particularly eye-catching, triggering many audiences to take a group photo, which is the American jeep that He Long once rode in the Eying Collection.

Walking into the "Breaking Through the Darkness and Welcoming the Light" exhibition unit, the narrator said with great emotion: "On December 7, 1949, on the eve of the liberation of Chengdu, the Kuomintang killed 36 communist progressives, patriotic youths and students imprisoned in the Gate of the General of Chengdu near the Twelve Bridges outside the Tonghui Gate, and 20 days after the martyrs of the Twelve Bridges were martyred, Chengdu was liberated. The revolutionary martyrs fell tragically on the eve of victory. Although many heroic martyrs did not wait for the day when the sun sprinkled on the earth and left, they and thousands of ancestors dyed red with blood the five-star red flag will forever fly on the vast land of the motherland. ”

The narrator pointed to a military green jeep with a big red flower on its head in the exhibition hall and said: "The car we are seeing now is a remnant jeep of the Kuomintang Hu Zongnan captured by He Long and the Eighteenth Corps in Sichuan during the liberation of Chengdu, and its origin is the United States." When the People's Liberation Army entered the city, Marshal He Long rode on it to receive a warm welcome from the people of Chengdu. After the war, the car was collected by Eying and participated in the shooting of many war-themed films. ”

This jeep is now an important cultural relic of Eying Group, and it is not easy to carry it to the new convention center. Zhang Liang, deputy manager of Eying 1958 Shadow Management Company, revealed that on the evening of June 18, they received a notice to send the jeep to the exhibition the next day, so they met overnight to discuss the transportation plan, predicted the problems that may occur in every link of the transportation process, and found solutions.

This jeep is an important cultural relic of Eying, and it is also a must-visit place for many fans to take photos and punch cards, and they enjoy the treatment of "big stars". Every month, Eying has to carry out routine maintenance of this jeep, check whether the oil is leaking and whether the bearings are broken. Due to proper maintenance, the jeep looks relatively new from the outside.

Although the next day was Saturday, they rushed to Eying 1958 at 7 a.m. to check and maintain themselves with professional auto repair staff, especially to inflate the tires. At 12:00 noon, when the jeep was about to be moved out of Eying, the staff made a mistake. Originally, when Eying was first built in 1958, it was an advanced car and a rear closed door, and this big man could not go out. The staff had to tear down 4 gates to make it easier for jeeps to go out and exhibit. At 4 p.m., the jeep drove smoothly to the new convention center.

At 12 o'clock in the evening, Zhang Liang was busy with a day's work, rushed to the exhibition site, looked at the exhibition hall that was still being arranged, and a variety of emotions such as shock and pride surged into his heart. This jeep, which has "shown its face" in many movies such as "Liberation of Chengdu", "Soldiers in Tianfu", "Advancing into the Central Plains", "Iceberg Snow Lotus" and so on, has witnessed the history of the Chinese Communist Party's liberation of Chengdu and will silently tell more audiences about that magnificent historical journey. Zhang Liang planned that on the day of July 1, he would organize Eying's colleagues to go to the exhibition hall to visit the camp, visit old friends, and relive this history.
