At present, it is the season of migratory birds migrating from south to north, and in Baidori Lake in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, more than 20 endangered birds with blue heads have quietly appeared.

The blue-headed diving ducks that have just migrated to their new homes look excited, and some of them gather in groups of three or five to play in the water, and some ten or eight accompany them in the lake, catching fish and shrimp foraging and playing, looking for a companion.

It is understood that the blue-headed diving duck is a national first-level protected animal, affected by habitat loss, over-hunting, human interference and other factors, the population of the blue-headed diving duck has declined, and there are only 500 to 1,000 remaining in the world, which is listed in the "IUCN Red List of Endangered Species" "critically endangered" species.

Bai bird lake used to be an oxidation pond for treating urban sewage in Qiqiha City. In recent years, the local government has increased the improvement of the ecological environment and continued to treat the water body of the oxidation pond, effectively ensuring that the waters and water quality here are clear and pollution-free, so that the past oxidation pond has become today's Bird Lake.
