The number of victims of the Kyoto Animation arson murders increased to 36

According to The Japan Kyodo News Agency reported on October 5, regarding the arson murder case of the animation production company "Kyoto Animation" First Studio in Fushimi District, Kyoto City, Japan, the Kyoto Prefectural Police released news on the 5th that a female employee in her 20s who was hospitalized died on the evening of the 4th. A total of 36 people were killed. The cause of death was infectious shock due to extensive burns.

The police did not release the woman's real name, explaining that "in the future, we will respond after coordination with the survivors and various parties." The real names of the other 35 victims were previously released on two separate occasions.

In mid-September, the relevant person involved in the case revealed that the critically ill injured person was almost out of the danger period and showed a tendency to recover, but it was said that the woman was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and her condition continued to repeat.

According to the police, the woman was on the first floor of the studio at the time of the incident and was rescued while escaping from the gate. The case caused 33 people to be injured to varying degrees, and 5 people are still hospitalized for burns and other treatment.
