If you're wondering what a kick is

I'll take you on a journey now

It is well known that every time a team scores, it needs to return the ball to the opponent in the form of a kick-off. But what if the team is behind in the final moments and doesn't want to give the ball to the other side? Try gambling kicks.

The rules stipulate that if the player receiving the ball touches the ball after kick-off, or if the ball kicks out of the kick-off point more than 10 yards, as long as the ball is not out of bounds, it is a live ball. Whoever grabs the ball is whoever gets the ball. However, if the player receives a gambling kick, the ball becomes a dead ball, so it is impossible to have a touchdown on the side of the gambling kick.

So what are the tricks of gambling kicks? First of all, the kick must be rotated, so that it is difficult for the receiving party to judge the trajectory and landing of the ball. Second, don't play too far, otherwise your teammates won't be able to catch up. In addition, the ball cannot be shorter than 10 yards, because the player cannot receive the ball within 10 yards.

Gambling kick is a high-risk, high-yield investment. The stakes are high, so there's generally no team that would make this a regular play.
