At 09:23 on October 15, the command center of the Xishuangbanna Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm that a vehicle on National Highway 213 near the Mengyang Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Area accidentally rushed out of the road and slid to the edge of the cliff, trapping 6 people, and the situation was very critical. After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately dispatched 3 cars and 17 people from the Qingquan Road Fire Station and the Yun Jinghong Special Service Fire Station to the scene.
At 10:20, the police force arrived at the scene one after another.
After the investigation of the accident site, it was found that when the accident vehicle drove to the corner of the accident site on the 213 National Highway, due to the wet and slippery road surface and avoiding the oncoming vehicles, it rushed out of the road and slid to the edge of the cliff, and was temporarily blocked by the trees and vines on the edge of the cliff.
The cliff is about 30 meters high, and below it is the Sancha River, which is usually about 10 meters wide. In order to ensure the balance of the vehicle, the 6 people in the car could not move, and over time, the mood began to become gradually agitated.
The police and the masses at the scene temporarily use civilian ropes to stabilize the vehicle, but there is a possibility of falling off the cliff at any time, the situation is extremely critical, once it cannot be supported, the vehicle will fall off the cliff, and the consequences are unimaginable.
After the detachment's full-time command arrived at the scene of the accident, it immediately made rescue arrangements and quickly set up an accident rescue team, a safety vigilance group and an emotional reassurance group.
The emotional reassurance group immediately does a good job of emotional reassurance for the trapped people, prevents emotional loss of control, and makes excessive behaviors to affect the rescue operation; the safety vigilance group quickly inspects the surrounding rescue environment, urges the rescue personnel to do a good job of safety protection, and ensures scientific and safe rescue; the accident rescue team first uses a steel cable to fix the accident vehicle at multiple points, and then implements scientific rescue after properly protecting the trapped people one by one.
At 10:48, all 6 trapped people were successfully rescued, with no casualties.
