On December 15, Beijing time, according to Tennishead, Germany's A-Zverev has been coached by many former top professional players in his career so far, and in a recent interview, he revealed the best of them.

From the end of 2017 to the beginning of 2018, Juan Carlos Ferrero, a former world number one at ATP and 2003 French Open men's singles champion, briefly coached the current world third place, followed by eight-time Grand Slam champion Ivan Lendl working with the German for another year.

However, in A-Zverev's view, AtP former world number three, 2013 French Open men's singles runner-up David Ferrer is the best coach who has ever coached him, except of course his father Alexander Zverev Sr.

"[My father] is better than [Ivan] Lendl." A-Zverev told the German-published Tennis Magazine.

"For me, that's not a problem at all. I think it was an experience for me, to see how other coaches see my tennis. ”

"For me, apart from my father, [David] Ferrell is the best coach I've ever had in my life. But unfortunately, last year we had to stop (cooperating) due to COVID-19. He's the only coach I'd say I want to try again. ”

Ferrer and A-Zverev worked together from 2020 until January 2021, during which time the German reached the men's singles final of the Grand Slam for the first time at the 2020 US Open.

Although A-Zverev once claimed that Lendl was "more interested in talking about golf and his dog than tennis", the Germans also admitted that the two did not merge at all.

"The collaboration with Lendl is not so good. It's no secret. Personally, we may not be a good pair either. He explained.

"We just saw something different on the tennis court during training. I'm also a part of my sport, I'm a person with personality. ”

"I'm not a person who says 'yes' and 'amen' in everything. I also often question the opinion, I always ask you why you see it that way, and sometimes say that I see it differently (and you). ”

"You can't join my team just because you and I have a different perspective and turn my life and career upside down."
