Consistent with the living habits of the Mongolian masses on the steppe, this art has a romantic and open atmosphere.

On May 20, 2006, the "Mongolian Urigel" jointly declared by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Zarut Banner, Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner, Fuxin Mongol Autonomous County of Liaoning Province, and Qianguoluo Mongol Autonomous County of Jilin Province was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list with the approval of the State Council.

The Zarut steppe is the cradle of Mongolian Urigel art. This magical land has created dazzling national culture and art, and nurtured world-class national music masters such as Pa Jie and Mao Yihan. The translation of the "Urigel" speech of classical masterpieces such as "The Story of the Spring and Autumn Warring States", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and "The Evolution of the Fengshen Gods" was born. The most famous heroic epics such as "Hero Gesar Khan" and "Conquest of Python" have become the artistic treasures of the Chinese nation.

After the founding of New China, the storytelling art of the Zarut Banner continued to develop, and storytellers gradually formed their own distinctive artistic styles. According to the singing characteristics and master-apprentice relationship of storytellers, it is roughly divided into three genres, the rap genre represented by Pajie as the main narrative story, the Hollywood rap genre represented by Mao Yihan, and the narrative traditional story-based rap genre represented by Zana.

The profound cultural heritage of Zarut Banner has not only nurtured two well-known chinese and foreign artists, Pa Jie and Mao Yihan, two world-class national music masters, but also cultivated many famous folk music artists such as Chaobang, Zhana, Dolji, Sarnmandula, chojigawa, etc. In the 50s of the last century, Pa Jie and Mao Yihan were cordially received by Chairman Mao. In the 1960s, Lassi Oshir was received three times by Premier Zhou.

Zarut Banner attaches great importance to the protection and excavation of national cultural heritage, pays attention to the development and innovation of improving and perfecting national culture, in order to protect and promote the national music art such as "Urigel" and "Hollywood", the Flag Federation has established the Qu Artists Association. The Flag People's Government also signed a contract with the Institute of Minority Languages of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to establish the "Urigel" and "Hollywood" inheritance bases, recorded more than 500 hours of audio-visual materials, and established a special webpage, laying a solid foundation for building the national art brands of "Urigel" and "Hollywood" of the Zarut Banner. At the same time, Zarut Banner also designated the Qi Mongolian Experimental Primary School as the "Urigel Training Base", and in March 2008, the "Urigel Special Class" was opened in the school, the sihu musical instrument was purchased, more than 10 students with musical foundation were selected as the first batch of students, and the national second-level actor Rousser was hired to teach, often explaining the art of Urigel to the students.

In 2002, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Master Pajie and the "Pajie Cup" National Uligel and Hollywood Competition were held, which made positive contributions to promoting national culture and promoting cultural innovation. From August 4 to 7, 2008, the "Commemoration of the Centenary of the Birth of The Mongolian Qu Art Master Mao Yihan and the China Inner Mongolia Uligel Art Festival" sponsored by the China Qu Artists Association, the Propaganda Department of the Inner Mongolia Party Committee, the Inner Mongolia Federation of Literature and Literature, the Inner Mongolia Cultural Department, the Inner Mongolia Radio and Television Bureau, and the Inner Mongolia Nationalities Committee were held in Zarut Banner, the hometown of Urigel. In order to promote the national music art, he wrote a strong stroke.

However, urigel is still an art form popular with the vast number of herders in the Zarut steppe, and is an indispensable part of the mass entertainment activities. From the birth of Urigel to 1986, there were more than 70 famous "Hulzi" (storytellers) in the whole flag, but unfortunately more than 30 people had died in 2010. To this day, the melodious sound of the huqin still echoes in the Zarut steppe. With its unique artistic style and superb singing skills, Urigel has become a wonderful flower in the hundred gardens of national art. In 2003, the Zarut banner was known as "the hometown of Chinese national music and art" and "the hometown of Chinese folk art".
