Liverpool are perhaps one of the most balanced teams in the Premier League season, as evidenced by their impressive start to the new season. Klopp is certainly not a slacker, however, and while fans cheer on the club's performance, the German boss and his coaching staff will set transfer targets for the upcoming January transfer window. To do this, clubs may need to sell some reserve players before investing back into the first team. So which players can we expect to leave Anfield after this year?
Nabi-Keita

Since Naby Keita moved from Leipzig to Anfield in 2018 for £54m, few players have been able to disappoint Liverpool fans as much as he has. The Guinea international has occasionally performed well over the past three years, showing what kind of player he is, but for the most part he has either struggled to maintain stability in form or injured. Either way, Klopp is unlikely to give him too many chances in the second half of the season, and if a club offers a good enough transfer fee, then it may be time for Anfield's side to use Keita to recover the funds.
Chamberlain
While Chamberlain wasn't a bad player anyway, he wasn't good at anything to secure a starting spot at Liverpool. The former Arsenal winger is certainly not going to replace Mane or Salah any time soon, nor can he believe he will accomplish what Jordan Henderson or Fabinho do every weekend. In fact, Chamberlain is a useful player, but if Liverpool need to raise some money in January, they may sell the England international as a valuable player.
Origi
Few will question Origi's adored or near-mythical status at Anfield as he seems to enjoy scoring important goals as a super substitute. However, given his 26-year-old age, Origi is no longer a young player, he is still struggling to prove himself and, to be fair, the Belgium international will never be Liverpool's starter. So, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, many clubs may try to lure Origi elsewhere, where he can have a steady playing time. Maybe it will be the most perfect thing in a player's career.
Karius
Another player whose contract will expire at the end of the season is goalkeeper Karius. Unlike Origi, however, the German goalkeeper is definitely not a regular in the first team and he will most likely be forgotten until he moves to another club. Karius has been linked to a return to German football for some time now, and in January a Bundesliga side may try to provide a negligible sum of money to ensure Karius leaves Anfield about 6 months early.
Nathaniel Phillips
With a large number of injuries in Klopp's defence last season, Nathaniel Phillips quickly made it into the first-team squad and did a very good job defensively. However, this season Phillips was nothing more than a backup option for the defence and has only made a few appearances for the club. Phillips still has a contract until 2025, so his transfer will cost some money, but the centre-back should still consider reviving his career elsewhere in the UK rather than sitting on the bench at Anfield for another six months.
