His name is Zhang Shiren, a 41-year-old veteran from Fuyang Village, Chengnan Town, Ningde. In 1998, Zhang Shiren was honorably enlisted in the army, trained in the melting pot of the army for two years, and won the honor of the third class of the class collective once. He is now the head of Ningde Green World Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd.

The first time I saw Zhang Shiren in the orchard of "Ningde Green World Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd." in Lingtou Village, Chengnan Town, Jiaocheng District, he was about one meter eight tall and strong, he was wearing a woven straw hat, wearing long sleeves and trousers in the field, beads of sweat slid down his cheeks from time to time, and the soaked clothes had been attached to his body.
"At present, the most lacking in the village is young people's hands, coupled with the recent shortage of manpower when the farmers are busy, we are also used to going on our own." It's nothing to work hard, as long as the future can be built into a place for everyone to have fun, eat happily, and live down, we will be satisfied. Zhang Shiren said.
In 1998, Zhang Shiren joined a detachment of the Fujian Provincial Armed Police Corps of the Chinese Armed Police as a guard. After serving in the army for two years, at the end of 2000, Zhang Shiren gloriously shed his military uniform and chose to start a business. He also firmly believes that happiness is a struggle.
In 2001, with the support of his family, Zhang Shiren, who was in his early 20s, leased 45 mu of tidal flats in Baoyangtang, Fuyang Village, Chengnan Town, his hometown, to engage in aquatic culture such as clams, shrimp and crabs. In 2002, Zhang Shiren went through several humble inquiries and studies, and he excavated the first bucket of gold on the road of entrepreneurship in the farm. Around 2010, he transformed into the field of aquatic seedlings and made some cross-sector investments.
In 2015, by chance, Chengnan Town, Jiaocheng District, was attracting investment to help the poor and develop the "Lianfeng MountainOus Area" (Lianfeng Three Villages, Lingtou, Yecuo, Tanaka Three Villages).
In Zhang Shiren's view, the "Three Villages of Lianfeng" is only separated from Ningde City by a mountain, and connected to Jinhan Township in the north, with an average annual temperature of 16-17 °C, an altitude of more than 400 meters, a beautiful environment, no pollution, and rich original ecological resources. Zhang Shiren also learned that in 2000, because the "Three Villages of Lianfeng" did not have access to the highway, a reporter from Mindong Daily once conducted an in-depth investigation and wrote down the situation as an internal reference and reported it to the provincial government leaders. Under the instructions and concern of Xi Jinping, then governor of Fujian Province, the Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office and the Provincial Old District Office went deep into the "Lianfeng Three Villages" investigation, and then the province allocated some funds to start highway construction. After three years, in August 2003, the 16-kilometer rural road from Ningde City to the "Lianfeng Three Villages" was completed, and the distance between the three villages of Lianfeng and the urban area of Ningde was also shortened in an instant.
After considering many considerations, in 2015, Zhang Shiren chose to transform again - buying an aquatic nursery farm and renting it to others, and the timber market that he bid for and leased was also handed over to others to manage, and he went into the Lingtou Village of "Lianfeng Mountain Village" to engage in agricultural development.
Through the active coordination of the local party committee and government and the cadres of Bao Village, Zhang Shiren followed his partner to smoothly transfer 400 mu of mountain terraces in Lingtou Village, leasing 300 yuan per mu, and took a stake in Ningde Green World Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd.

In the first year, Zhang Shiren and his partners introduced peaches from other places, planted 80 acres of yellow cauliflower in Lingtou Village, and planted some yellow cauliflower, and the peach tree was planted smoothly, but the yellow cauliflower needed to be picked in the early morning, and the manpower was limited, so they had to change the yellow cauliflower plot to other fruits. Then they tried to grow oil, passion fruit, kiwi fruit, yellow heart watermelon and so on.
After several years of exploration, in 2018, the company's orchard ushered in its first bumper harvest. Unfortunately, the harvest season encountered a typhoon, the company's 80 acres of peaches were blown by the typhoon nearly 70 acres, passion fruit, watermelon and other serious losses.
"Fortunately, so far it has not been affected by the typhoon, and this year's ten acres of peaches have harvested about 100,000 yuan." Since the typhoon last year, we have replanted 70 acres of peach trees, which are expected to be harvested in three years. Zhang Shiren said that the next will usher in the watermelon harvest season, which is expected to harvest four or five hundred thousand yuan. Then this year's company's income and expenditure is expected to be flat. This year, the company also tried to raise some geese, and the weeding effect was good. As a result, herbicides are used less, the soil is protected, and labor costs are saved a lot.
"To be honest, we have developed agricultural projects in the village so far, which has brought tangible benefits to the villagers." Zhang Shiren calculated an account for the reporter, every year, there are 4 fixed personnel working in their company, each person is 2800 yuan per month, responsible for the routine management of the park, picking peaches, hoeing grass, fertilizing, pruning, etc. When the farm is busy, the staff hired by the company is more than ten people (temporary small workers are paid 150 yuan per day, and the machine workers are 200 yuan per person per day), these workers are from the surrounding villagers, and the company spends at least two or three hundred thousand yuan on workers' wages every year. The land rent of more than 100,000 yuan a year is not included.
"The healthy development of a village must have certain industrial support, drive employment through industry, and bring villagers a fixed and cost-effective income, I believe that young talents who work outside the country will also return to entrepreneurship." Zhang Shiren said that they are also working hard towards entrepreneurship to increase villagers' income and promote the development of rural revitalization. "After three years of building, the company has initially formed a certain planting scale, and it is expected that after three years, the output value of the three fruits of peaches, oil nectare and watermelon alone will be profitable."
"In the next step, we will introduce professional design companies to focus on creating leisure agricultural projects, so that guests can come here to have fun, eat at ease, and live down." In Zhang Shiren's view, the most bitter days have passed, and the "Xingcun Dream" they created has just started, and he firmly believes that although entrepreneurship is difficult, as long as you are willing to pay and study diligently, you will be able to do something famous in the future.
