Dr. Gray is frustrated that his terminally ill patients are still using life-sustaining machines to prolong their lives. The patient had strongly urged the machine to be turned off the last time he woke up, but the hospital ethics committee decided that any deliberate attempt to shorten the patient's life was wrong.

Gray opposed the committee's decision and was upset that the patient's wishes had been ignored. He also believes that delaying death with machines will only prolong the suffering of the patient's friends and family members.

Gray stood by the bedside looking sadly at the patient, but something strange happened. The hospital cleaner touched the wires of the life-sustaining machine, the plug was pulled out, and the machine made a beeping warning sound. The cleaner felt something was not quite right and looked at Gray, who was standing by the hospital bed, and asked him for help.

"Don't worry," Gray said without hesitation, "keep doing your thing, no problem." ”

For Gray, it was really fine, because no one was deliberately shortening the patient's life. All Gray was doing was ignoring the accidentally dropped plug and doing nothing to keep the machine working. Now he can get the results he wants without violating the ethics committee's instructions.
