Is a "diffuse lesion" of the liver cirrhosis? Is it liver cancer with a placeholder?

author:Carry one's heart upon one's sleeve

"Diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma" and "mass lesions of the liver" are two common descriptions in color ultrasound. Is having a diffuse lesion cirrhosis? Is it liver cancer with a placeholder?

No No No!

Diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma

Is a "diffuse lesion" of the liver cirrhosis? Is it liver cancer with a placeholder?

It is an image description of organic changes in the liver, mainly caused by fat infiltration, or hyperplasia of fibrotic tissue. It is due to various reasons that the liver is continuously damaged, and the liver forms a "scar" in the process of "injury-repair-injury", which is manifested as "diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma" in imaging examinations. In general, patients should have a basis for chronic liver disease. At this time, some chronic liver disease screening is needed, such as hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, autoimmune liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, drug-induced liver damage, fatty liver, parasites, etc. Different treatments are needed for different causes to prevent further cirrhosis. Diffuse lesions can neither be ignored nor too panicked.

Mass lesions of the liver

Is a "diffuse lesion" of the liver cirrhosis? Is it liver cancer with a placeholder?

Refers to the presence of one or more lesions or masses with a certain volume in the liver of the human body.

There are three types of hepatic mass lesions:

Benign liver lesions, mainly refer to hepatic hemangiomas, liver cysts, hepatic adenomas, liver focal nodular hyperplasia, etc., for this situation can be regularly reviewed, if necessary, treatment is required, but generally not life-threatening.

Liver malignant tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma, bile duct cell carcinoma, metastatic liver cancer, mixed liver cancer, etc., this situation is more serious and requires active treatment as soon as possible. Current treatments include surgery, intervention, topical therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, organ transplantation, and more. With the improvement of medical technology, the cure rate and remission rate of patients are getting higher and higher, and the survival time is getting longer and longer. So even if diagnosed as a malignant tumor, don't be blindly pessimistic.

Infectious diseases of the liver, mainly including liver tuberculosis, liver abscesses, parasitic diseases such as hepatic echinococcosis and so on. History is needed in conjunction with further testing to confirm diagnosis and treatment.

●"Diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma": When the patient has a history of chronic liver disease, the ultrasound examination results suggest that it is "diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma", which needs to be paid attention to by everyone, especially vigilant against the emergence of cirrhosis. However, in patients without a history of liver disease, if ultrasound B test results suggest "diffuse lesions of the liver parenchyma", it is important to examine all factors that may cause liver damage in detail.

●"Hepatic mass lesions": Once it is found that the liver has a mass lesion, it must not be careless, and the nature of the placeholder must be determined. There are many clinical methods, including enhanced CT, Pumei display MRI, ultrasonic contrast, angiography and so on. At the same time, it can be combined with tumor markers such as AFP and CA-199, and for some difficult places to diagnose, local puncture biopsy can also be done, and the diagnosis can be assisted by pathology. Benign placeholders can be followed up for observation, and malignant placeholders can be actively treated as soon as possible.

Whether it is a diffuse lesion or a hepatic mass lesion, be sure to consult a doctor, choose the right examination and treatment method, not a bow snake shadow, nor a grass and trees!
