Write on the front

————

In the last quarter of 2021, the article was very Buddhist. In these days, I have made some rectifications for my life, and at the same time, I have gained a lot of inspiration in my communication with you, and I share it with you.

With reader one: it is so difficult to want to read

A friend of mine, who is also a regular reader of the public account, asked me in September how I could calm down and read after work.

My answer at the time was that life might as well do as you please, watch it when you want to, and don't force yourself if you don't want to see it. At that time, I could feel that he was a little anxious, so I tried my best to relieve the pressure of reading, advising him not to force more reading, our education often unilaterally requires overcoming human nature, but in fact, reading also talks about fate, if you really are not in the mood to raise interest, then be happy to do something else.

After more than two months, I would like to add a footnote to this answer.

The above answer is a response to a crowd of 30+ people.

The essence of reading is actually to give yourself pure self-thinking space through the carrier of books. As you get older, work and family take up more and more of your life, and you have to admit that having this kind of self-time is too extravagant, and you have to make trade-offs at this time.

At 30+, the pressure is not small, if you put pressure on yourself because of reading, it will increase your troubles. At this time, the more feasible reading is around their own work expansion, or family management to read, I believe that if you are still pursuing the overall rise of life, reading such practical books will be better to start, easier to focus.

But 20+ is different, 20+ is the formation period of people's three views, and a person's time and experience are limited, under normal circumstances, it is difficult to often change social roles to enrich the diversity of experience, so a large number of books are needed to supplement the lack of experience and increase insight. During this period, people's energy is also more abundant, and it is time to ask for reading.

So, if you're 20+, force yourself to read a lot of books, and if necessary, force yourself, and ten years from now you'll be thankful for yourself.

With Reader Two: Science students in Irvinger

The second one told the reader that the message from more than one reader generally said that although I know that you have a science and engineering background, it seems that there is a lot of social science and psychology content in your article.

I found out that there are so many friends who study science but also like liberal arts. One of them said he doubted if he had chosen the wrong subject. At that time, because the number of words in the message was limited, I was unable to respond to it, so I will talk about it seriously.

In fact, whether it is the liberal arts, sciences, or majors chosen by universities, these are the classifications imposed on us by society, in order to be more efficient in the classification of social specializations. Their existence has its legitimacy. However, for ourselves, people's cognition can be completely diverse.

There are no two absolutely separate brains in the world, one called the liberal arts and the other called science. Each of the human beings of the Spirit of All Things is a unique individual, and each person's interests may be different, perhaps not at all within these two categories.

If you are still in college, enjoy learning the subjects you like, read and listen to the strange things that you have never heard, are interested in but dare not try, and then ask your heart which ones you prefer.

Remember that liberal arts is only a classification of secondary school for exams, it can't define you, and it shouldn't limit you. Only you can define yourself, and only you can limit you.

Therefore, to liberate yourself, start with a science student boldly saying that he likes the liberal arts, putting aside the prejudice of those frogs at the bottom of the well against the liberal arts, you will find the strict logic and close connection with the world in the literary, historical, philosophical and social sciences. So beautiful!

What is the discipline of life?

I would say that it is a comprehensive discipline, and it is a comprehensive discipline that goes beyond the sum of all the disciplines we can think of.

Message at the end of the year

The theme I set for myself in 2021 is "Be Yourself".

I set this theme because in more than two years in Canada, the change of life and the unsmooth work made me lose my connection with myself for a while. I gradually found that the things I originally liked became boring, and the things I worked very hard pointed to very unoptimistic results, out of the chai rice oil and salt and work routine, and there was no longer a distance in my heart.

Through a year of nu (folding) force (teng), it is considered to have revived a part of the sleeping self, this year to set for myself the small goal has been unconsciously achieved, but also met a lot of great inspiration to me teachers.

I don't know if there are readers like me, in the trough of life, this year I want to share the most is -

Believe in yourself, not only when you are proud, but also when you are frustrated. Understand that everything is not easy, but also believe that it is not easy to embarrass yourself in everything

As long as you do the right thing, you will definitely bottom out and get back where you should be.

Just say out loud to yourself, 2022, walk and see!
