Build a traffic management "red fortress"

Enhance traffic management service facilitation

Since November 1, the Haikou Traffic Police Detachment has opened traffic management service stations in four townships of Haikou, Namengpo, Sanmenpo, Yongxing and Rough Slope, to facilitate township residents to handle part of the traffic management business and improve the convenience of traffic management services.

It is understood that the Haikou traffic police actively publicize the "one-door general office" of public security government services, and guide the masses to go to the nearest public security sub-bureau certificate making center and 8 police stations to handle motor vehicle driving license business. At the intersection of Meixiang Road and Meixiang Heng road in Haikou City, traffic is slow due to the waiting queue of straight vehicles to obstruct the right turn of vehicles in the rear during peak hours. After receiving the demands of the masses, the Haikou traffic police immediately studied and formulated an optimization plan, removed the guardrail, and added a special lane for right turning to effectively solve the traffic jam of right turn vehicles.

"We have carefully sorted out the road traffic management blockages and difficult problems that the masses have strongly complained about and are widely concerned by the society, and adopted measures such as improving traffic safety facilities and optimizing road traffic organizations to effectively solve problems for the masses to travel." Zeng Xiong, deputy head of the Haikou traffic police detachment, said.

In view of the high incidence of major traffic accidents on the Dinghai Bridge and the surrounding roads on the north side, the Haikou traffic police installed traffic lights, traffic monitoring, electronic police equipment and road lighting at the north intersection of the Dinghai Bridge and put them into use. At present, the traffic accident rate of Dongshan Town Road in the first three quarters fell by 4.87% year-on-year, and there were no major traffic accidents such as human deaths.

During the summer vacation this year, the number of students driving tests has increased significantly, and it is difficult to make appointments for driving tests and difficult tests. From August 16 to 18, the Haikou traffic police held 6 special examinations for students for 3 consecutive days, and a total of 1940 student candidates took the exam, and the pass rate of the exam increased significantly.

From the end of June to the beginning of December this year, in response to the problem of road congestion in urban areas, the Haikou traffic police took comprehensive measures to control congestion, sinking more than 350 people of the police force to 125 peak evacuation posts, relying on scientific and technological means to open 68 traffic lights "green wave belts" in road sections, updating 3,089 sets of traffic light timing plans, commanding 2,048 times through monitoring and early warning, and releasing 113,610 road condition information, and the city's road traffic congestion was alleviated to a certain extent.
