No way? Can you still exploit such a loophole??
Why do we sometimes see the kick-off player stick his foot out of the sideline and touch the ball in the field? The yellow flag thrown by the referee revealed the answer. Penalties are: kick-off out of bounds, kicking fouls.
This involves the rules of kick-off. Kicking the ball out of bounds at kick-off will result in a tee foul. The receiver will attack from its own 40-yard line or out of bounds. However, there is a rule regarding out-of-bounds: any player outside the boundary who touches the ball is equivalent to the ball being out of bounds. For example, if the catcher at the sideline completes the catch, but his feet are not controlled within the bounds, it is calculated out of bounds.
This kind of ball is not common in the game, but it also shows the importance of knowing the rules.
For any sport,
Knowing enough about the rules will never be a loss.
