The "Film and Television Role Models • 2021 Annual Ranking" was officially launched, and the online voting lasted for two weeks

On December 13, the "Film and Television Role Models • 2021 Annual General Appraisal List" sponsored by Beijing Daily Newspaper Group officially opened the online voting channel after nearly a month of solicitation.

The "Film and Television Role Models • Annual General Appraisal List" is the only film and television analogy promotion event in Beijing sponsored by the official media, and this year has been held for the fourth time since it was first held in 2018. The activity adheres to advocating mainstream values, follows the mainstream cultural value orientation, and combines mass market feedback, expert review opinions, and media review opinions, and strives to select online literary and artistic masterpieces that conform to the aesthetics of the broad masses of the people and win the reputation of the masses.

This year's preliminary selection began in November 2021, and the preliminary selection list was recommended and submitted by film and television production companies, video websites, local satellite television and professional data agencies, and nearly 100 dramas and variety shows were received to participate in the primary selection. Combined with the comprehensive data provided by the data support agency Cool Cloud Interactive, such as ratings, on-demand rates, word-of-mouth, market response, and industry evaluations, after the selection of professional media judges, the top 30 lists of popular dramas and popular variety shows of this year were finally formed on December 1.

This year's shortlisted dramas and variety shows are still unique and difficult to distinguish. In terms of dramas, there are not only "The Age of Awakening", "Armageddon", "Crossing the Yalu River" and "Fragrant Mountain Leaf Zhenghong", which focus on major historical revolutionary events, but also "Mountains and Seas", "Children of the Qiao Family", "Ideal City", which have set a record for annual ratings and word-of-mouth achievements, and have outstanding performances in realism expression, as well as the modern dramas "Sweeping The Black Storm", "Flowing Golden Years", "Circuit Inspection Group", which are loved by the audience, and the costume and idol dramas "Son-in-law", "Si Teng", "You Are My Glory", which are generally concerned by young people, also ranked high.

In terms of variety shows, domestic TV variety shows and network variety shows continue to be equally divided, and many excellent works with humanistic value orientation and variety show expression innovation have emerged. "China in the Story", "China in the Classics", "National Treasures Episode III", etc. continue to refresh the new height of humanistic variety shows, "Annual Drama Competition", "Drama New Life" and "Brother with Thorns" have also created new annual hits, and "Time Concert", "Fifty Kilometers of Peach Blossom Dock", "Adventures in the Corner of the World" and other programs have also explored the content innovation of domestic variety shows from a unique perspective.

The network promotion link began at 8:00 on December 13 and ended at 24:00 on December 26. The film and television role model award selection coordinate system is divided into three dimensions: orientation, quality and word of mouth, and the audience can choose their favorite candidates and works based on six categories such as drama, variety show, male lead, female lead, supporting actor and supporting actress in the two major fields of drama and variety show through online voting according to these three criteria.

After the end of the online selection, the organizing committee organized and held an expert review meeting composed of industry experts, and a media review meeting composed of media representatives, which twice voted to produce the top 10 professional review list and the top 10 media review list. The final results will be counted according to the ratio of "40% of media review + 30% of expert review + 30% of online voting results", forming a list of "Film and Television Role Models • 2021 Annual General Evaluation List". The 2021 general appraisal list will also add a special "Special List of Works Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China", which will be voted by the judging committee.
