On December 6, local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a one-day brief visit to India, and the leaders of India and Russia signed 28 agreements. Indian Foreign Secretary Hash Shlingla said in his briefing on the results of the meeting between the leaders of India and Russia on the evening of the same day that strengthening bilateral trade and investment is an important part of the talks between the leaders of the two countries.

Hash Shlingla said President Putin's visit, although only one day, was very productive and had a lot of substance. The leaders of the two countries signed 28 agreements.

Hash Shlingla said Russia has begun delivering its long-range S-400 surface-to-air missile defense system to India. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised the purchase agreement between Russia and India, and India insisted on its choice despite opposition from the United States.

On the same day, India and Russia also signed an agreement to jointly produce more than 600,000 AK-203 assault rifles in Uttar Pradesh, India, involving an amount of about 50 billion rupees, or about 4.23 billion yuan. In addition, the two countries signed another 10-year military cooperation agreement.
