On February 22, 1954, Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe toured South Korea, singing to officers and men of the U.S. military in South Korea in her first performance.

Hollywood stars always seem to come forward selflessly during tough times, and despite Marilyn Monroe's fear of performing live, she overcame her phobias to provide hours of joy for More than 100,000 homesick soldiers in South Korea.
