Luxiang Ancient Village
Luxiang Village is located on the shore of Taihu Lake, embedded in the mountain dock, backed by Moli Peak, facing Taihu Lake, east of Hangu Mountain, west of Arrowpot Island, and Dongting West Mountain, far away, by the mountains and water, beautiful scenery.
The name of Lu Lane originates from the Southern Song Dynasty, Shi Zai, Song Room South Ferry, passing through Taihu Lake, seeIng Dongshan Xiongzhi Lake, quiet and quiet, there are wang, Ye, Jiang and other warriors who settled their families here, and built a village with six lanes, so it was named Lu Lane. Luxiang Ancient Village is currently the best-preserved Ming and Qing ancient village in Jiangnan, with 72 large-scale Ming and Qing dynasty architectural halls in history, and there are still about 30 well-preserved ones.
In the evening, the mist and cooking smoke on the cold mountain range blend together, and under the reflection of the sunset, the ancient village seems to be draped with a layer of fluttering light veil. Guangfu "Pipa Bridge"
The pipa bridge in front of the Guangfu Copper Guanyin Temple is permeated with Zen under the washing of time. Pipa Bridge, commonly known as the "Great Temple Bridge", was built in the Song Dynasty, a single-hole stone beam flat bridge, spanning the Fuxi City River and connecting the upper and lower streets.
This bridge is one of the few ancient bridges in Suzhou that still preserves song dynasty carvings and French styles, with a length of 16.1 meters, a span of 5.4 meters, and a width of 3.06 meters, made of three pieces of stone. The railing, the lock stone, and the top stone are all made of Wukang stone, which is made of sound and sonorous, so it is also called "pipa bridge".
Jinting Zhili Ancient Village
Zhili Ancient Village is located in the north of Xishan Island, and is now a controlled and protected ancient village in Suzhou, a traditional Chinese village, a traditional village in Jiangsu Province, and a natural village belonging to the administrative village of Dongcun. The village was formed around the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, and the residents were mostly surnamed Li, most of whom were descendants of Li Mida, the prefect of Shangshu Pingjiang, the Ministry of Works of the Southern Song Dynasty. Come to Shiori Ancient Village, the "Three Treasures of Shiori" is naturally to take a look.
The first treasure is the ancient road located at the mouth of the village, which was built in the fourteenth year of the Qing Dynasty (1834). Walking along the straight ancient road into the tranquil and infinite mountains, it is as if you have traveled back a hundred years.
The second treasure is the Yongfeng Bridge located at the northern end of the ancient road, which was built in the Song Dynasty, the existing ancient bridge was rebuilt in the forty-first year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1702), the steps on the bridge and the bridge railing are well preserved, there is a pair of bridge ear stones on the east and west sides, and a blue stone strip is embedded under the north end of the bridge ear stone on the east side, and the inscription "Kangxi Forty-one Years Reconstruction" is engraved.
There is a three-pronged ancient camphor tree next to the bridge, which is the third treasure in the "Three Treasures of Zhili", which has a history of more than 300 years, and its trunk is thick and short, the branches and leaves are luxuriant, and the pavilions are like a cover, shading the ancient bridge. In the summer, the ancient trees become a good place for villagers to cool off.
Ancient roads, ancient bridges, ancient camphors, small bridges, flowing water, people's homes, constitute an elegant natural picture, which is also known as "the most beautiful village entrance".
Stone carvings of Lin wu caves
For Xishan Island, the Southern Song Dynasty was a very important historical stage. According to the "Xishan Town Chronicle", from the Spring and Autumn To the Northern Song Dynasty, there were not many residents in Xishan, and most of them lived in fishermen, soldiers, hermits, monks and nuns. In the third year of the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty crossed the river and moved south, and the population of the north began to move south in large quantities, and the number of residents led by the former northern famous and prestigious clans increased sharply. Since then, Xishan has formed a number of large clans and villages, of which Xu, Lu, Shen, Cai, Jiang, Ma, Tu and Lao are the eight major clans of Nandu.
The scenery of Xishan Island is beautiful, and countless literati and inkers have come to set foot on it, leaving many poems and inscriptions. Some of them were carved on the stone by ancient craftsmen and became the cliff carvings seen now, and the cliff carvings of the Forest House Cave were mainly concentrated in three places: the front cave, the back hole, and the cave roof.
The back cave is the exit, the name of the cave is "Yanggu Cave", there are twelve stone carvings around the cave, most of which are recorded by tourists, of which Li Mida's "Records of the Hidden Garden of the Unhindered Resident Road" is the most ancient and precious, which describes the situation of Li Mida building a nunnery next to the cave. It is the oldest and most precious cliff carving in the Linwu Mountain Cliff Carving, the oldest and most precious Cliff Carving that has survived in the Taihu Lake area, and it is also the best of the many stone carvings in Linwu Mountain.
Rear port double well
There is a well in jiang dong ancient village in Jinting Town, which is unique in Suzhou, called shuangkou well, built in the Song Dynasty, with a history of more than 800 years. Now it is a municipal cultural relics protection unit, but it can still be used.
The ancient well and the well pavilion stand side by side, well and well, the well is babbling, there are still many villagers to fetch water, and 3 to 4 thick rope abrasion marks are left on the bluestone well railings on both sides, and the well railings are unusually smooth, as if there is pulp. A good drainage system also ensures the drying of the ground by the well, and although the stone tank next to the well pavilion has become mottled by water erosion, there are still villagers who use it to wash vegetables, and every detail is quietly telling the story of the ancient well and the human world.
