According to reports, since December 1, local time, all local public school toilets have begun to use the new logo. The sign posted inside the toilet also clearly states, "This toilet is open to users of any gender identity."
CPS officer Pratt said "all CPS students and staff will have fair access to restroom facilities that match their gender identity," adding that "this will promote gender equality for all."
Transgender and gender equality activists claim that separating men's and women's toilets only exacerbates inequality and is not inclusive. They refuse to acknowledge security issues or the need for girls of vulnerable ages to protect their privacy.
