【Shen Zhouming《隨興 Album》】
The "Suixing Album" counts twelve openings, of which the landscape and water are nine open, including autumn river clouds, sitting alone, looking at cliffs, crossing bridges, fishing alone (three paintings), waterfall viewing, snow travel; flowers and birds blooming three times, there are apricot blossoms, dead wood double crows, and hibiscus. The Jiukai Landscape Album expresses the painter's usual leisurely and elegant life, mainly based on personal feelings, focusing on the transmission of his own inner emotions, life attitude and life ideals.
For example, qiujiang wangyun, the painter on the upper right of the painting inscription: "Autumn water opens the river color, flat boat degree scattered people." Looking up at the clouds lying down, the fairy Xu Fengshen. "Under the cheerful autumn scenery, lying on the flat boat floating on the river, you can feel the changes and ups and downs of the floating clouds, which is very different from the state of mind of looking up at the floating clouds on land, and the painter's elegant and idle living state jumps on the paper with a few strokes.
In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the courtyard style of the four families of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Zhejiang school and the Wumen painting school of the Shifa Yuanren coexisted, and then the Wumen painting school flourished for a while, replacing the courtyard body and the Zhejiang school as the mainstream of the painting world. Shen Zhou is revered as the head of the Four Houses of Wumen, not only because of his old age and exemplary significance in character and morality, but more importantly, because of the profound influence of the style and artistic taste he created on the Wumen School.
Shen Zhou's family has lived in seclusion in Wumen for generations, and his father Shen Hengji and uncle Shen Zhenjiju are famous for their poetry, calligraphy and painting. Shen Zhousheng lived in seclusion in the countryside, unborn, with the Confucian flaunted character of modesty, gentleness, purity, filial piety, erudition and poetry, good at calligraphy and painting, and particularly deep in painting.
When Wen Zhengming elaborated on the evolution of his painting style, he said: "Since his youth, painting has been freed from family habits, and the gurus have been imitated and the real works have been confused. However, the rate is a small scene. By the beginning of forty, it was large, thick branches and large leaves, and grassy. Although it is naïve and rotten, and the moment is dyed, it is not as good as the time seiko. ”
Shen Zhou's painting style is roughly divided into three stages: the first stage is that before he was forty years old, he was deeply influenced by Du Qiong, Liu Jue and his father, and his pen and ink were meticulous and meticulous, and most of his works were small; the second stage was that between his forty and fifty-eight years old, he called himself "Bai Shi Weng", not only expanding his scale, but also changing his pen and ink to xionghun and simple; the third stage was that after he was fifty years old and called himself "Bai Shi Weng" until his death at the age of eighty-two, forming a style of simplicity, vigor, thickness and depression.
