The Battle of Xiaxia, which took place in December 202 BC, was a famous battle in Chinese history. The Chu and Han armies, which were fighting for the world, fought a final decisive battle under the siege, and the Han army set up a heavy siege and surrounded the Chu legion led by Xiang Yu, the king of Western Chu, in a ten-sided ambush formation.
During the stalemate, Xiang Yu heard the Han army singing Chu songs at night, thinking that Chu land had been fully obtained by Han, so he took advantage of the night to lead the army to break through and flee south, until the Wu River. Consciously and facelessly seeing Jiangdong's father and elder, a generation of war gods killed themselves.
After this battle, Liu Bang unified the world and established the Han Dynasty. The story of "Ten Faces Ambush" is derived from history, but it can be placed in ancient and modern China and abroad. From her calm point of view, with dance as the main tone, Yang Liping integrates the comprehensive artistic language of behavior, installation art, folk music and traditional drama, reinterprets the Yoshimitsu Katayu in the long river of history, portrays the inner conflicts and entanglements of each character in a specific time, space and situation, and shows the desire and fear, hurt and hurt in the depths of human nature in the past and the present, in order to evoke the observation of the present.
In the play, Yang Liping designed the two sides of "darkness" and "light" for Han Xin, just as the good and evil in human nature are always like shadows.

"Ten Faces Ambush", which shows the battle of Xiaxia, is a classic pipa ancient song. This song is magnificent, full of the sound of jinge iron horses slaughtering, and vividly shows the passages of the battle, such as the battalion, the point general, the platoon, the ambush, the xiangwang Wujiang self-killing, and Liu Bang's victory. As a solo piece, one person and one piano have been passed down through the ages.
Yang Liping's "Ten Faces Ambush" not only integrates this famous Chinese classical song, but also integrates traditional artistic elements such as Peking Opera and Kung Fu. The whole drama uses Xiao He Peking Opera to string together the whole story, and more follows the tradition of "Male Dan" in Peking Opera, handing over the only major female character in the play, Yu Ji, to the male dancers to reverse the string, Yang Liping said that "finding a man to play a woman is not a gimmick." ”

Studied at Hubei Normal University. Ge Junyi plays Xiang Yu
Compilation and performance of works "Male Dog", "Ten Faces Ambush", "Pingtan Reflection", "October Spring Festival", "Three More Rains and Lotus", "Zodiac Signs", "Twenty-four Solar Terms and Twelve Sounds of Flowers", "The First Beam of Light" and so on.
Among them, "Ten Faces Ambush" plays the male protagonist Xiang Yu; "Pingtan Impression" plays the male protagonist Prince, becoming one of the few male dancers in Asia to board the Lincoln Center in New York, and has toured as many as 100 times at home and abroad so far. In 2018, he founded Beijing Dance Road Body Art Space and opened a number of branches in Beijing and Anhui. From 2015 to 2018, Beijing Modern Dance Company starred in dance dramas. Gong Zhonghui plays Liu Bang

Pan Yu plays Bai Hanxin
Independent dancer, choreographer, artistic director of Mid-Levels Dancers, guest choreographer of Xie Xin Dance Theatre. Graduated from Beijing Modern Music Training Institute. In 2013, she entered the Yang Liping Dance Company as a choreographer and actor, and accompanied the troupe to Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe and other countries for art exchange performances.
Representative works: "Peacock" as a god; "Ten Faces Ambush" as Han Xin; "Peacock Winter" as a god; in 2015, he was invited by Hunan Satellite TV to participate in the TV program recording with teacher Yang Liping. Ouyang Tian plays Hei Hanxin

Zhao Liyuan plays Xiao He
Yunnan Provincial Peking Opera Old Student Actor, Zong Tan Sect. Graduated from Beijing Xiqu Art School and Beijing Normal University School of Performing Arts. In 2000, he entered the Beijing Opera House in Yunnan Province. In 2017, he took Mr. Tan Xiaozeng as his teacher and became the seventh generation of disciples of Tan Men. In 2014, he won the Outstanding Performance Award of the 10th Yunnan Provincial Young Actors Competition, in 2015 and 2017 he participated in the national tour of the National Arts Fund, in 2017 he won the first prize of the 4th Southwest Region "Classic Recitation of Traditional Chinese Studies", and in 2018, Tianjin participated in the "Colorful Youth" National Outstanding Young Actors Exchange Exhibition.

Yang Liping boldly experimented, taking Chinese dance as the main key and adding a comprehensive artistic language that integrates behavior, installation art, folk music and traditional drama. The actor's makeup takes the traditional Peking Opera costume as the source, and the costume style is also derived from the oriental classic elements, and invites Qiu Jirong, a descendant of the Peking Opera Qiu School, to participate in the choreography.
It can be said that this dance drama is impeccable from the performance to the stage, costumes, and makeup. The changes in the lighting are also extremely simple and tough, and the whole dance atmosphere is transformed into bright, and each emotion is rendered appropriately.
