At that time, there was a county in Fenning County, Jiangxi, and the Siming people ren Jingqiu House as a temple, and urged Tiantong Temple to retire to the abbot's heart mirror Tibetan Zen master to preside, which was the ancestor of the founding of the mountain, and was originally named "Dongjin Zen Temple".

In the first year of Xiantong, Qiu Fu of eastern Zhejiang led an army to revolt, attacked the city and plundered the land, and Siming was also poisoned. One day, Qiu Fu led the rebels into the Zen Temple. The temple people fled in horror, and the Ideal Mirror Zen Master was calm and calm, sitting in the temple with his eyes open, and his look was unchanged. The rebels were shocked and intimidated, and retreated in salute, so that the Zen Temple and its surrounding residents were able to survive the chaos. The following year, the gunshou took this matter to the imperial court, and when Emperor Yizong heard about it, he immediately issued an edict and gave the Dongjin Zen Temple the "Qixin Temple" as a reward, and the prime minister Pei Xiu donated a book plaque for this, and the Dongjin Zen Temple was renamed the Qixin Zen Temple, and today, there is still a heart mirror Tibetan Zen master stupa erected by Tang Xiantong in the fourteenth year (873).

During the Song Dynasty, Emperor Zhenzong of Song changed the name of Qixin Temple to "Chongshou Temple". At this time, the temple had become a famous dojo in Siming, standing side by side with the Tendai Sect Yanqing Temple in the same urban area. During the reign of Emperor Huizong of Song, because of the confusion of the Taoist priest Lin Lingsu and the admiration of Taoism, he decreed that Chongshou Temple should be changed to "Shenxiao Yuqing Wanshou Palace". Two years later, the temple name was restored, but it was used together with "Perch" and "Chongshou".

In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, in order to prevent the Wokou, the island residents migrated inland, and the Guanyin statue of Baotuo Temple on Putuo Mountain was also moved to the Qixin Chongshou Temple for worship, so the name of the temple was changed to "Supplementary Temple". Thus became the Guanyin Bodhisattva Dojo. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, seven stupas were erected in front of the temple, indicating that the past seven Buddhas (Vipaśyin), corpse abandoned Buddha (Śikhin), Viśvabhu, Krakucchanda, Kanakamuni Buddha, Kaśyapa, and Shakyamuni Buddha (Śākyamuni)) were the source of the Zen Dharma, hence the name Seven Pagodas Zen Temple.

Since its founding, the Seven Pagodas Zen Temple has been repeatedly destroyed, and in the midst of ten years of turmoil, it has been seriously damaged, and the Seven Pagodas Dojo has ceased to exist in name only. In 1980, the temple was restored and became the only large temple in the city.
