The movie "Shuttle Grass" uses a touching story to pay tribute to the desert greeners, calling on everyone to plant greenery and participate in the ecological protection team.
On December 2, the environmentally friendly youth film "Shuttle Grass", written and directed by Zhang Jieyong and starring actors Hu Xiaoguang, Badma, Lin Boyang, Waer and Fei Fan, held a media conference and premiere in Beijing. After watching the film, the main creators shared the film creation process with the guests. The film will be released nationwide on December 5.

The movie "Shuttle Grass" is based on the real deeds of Su He and Tubbbatu, the old man of the Alxa League in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Gobi drought, the large number of shuttle seedlings planted by Grandpa Huhe withered, Jiya, who returned to his hometown to pick up his grandmother for treatment, and Tong Jiahao, a racing driver, overcame difficulties to save the saplings in the conflict and entanglement, and raced against time to rescue Grandma, the two young people became acquainted with each other, and Jiya and Grandpa also resolved years of resentment and found a new direction in life.
One of the prototypes of the film story - Su He, former chairman of the Alxa League CPPCC, since 2004, in 17 years, he and his wife have planted a total of 90,000 shuttle seedlings, 3,500 acres of shuttle forest, built an ecological barrier of 500 meters wide and 3 kilometers long, known as "desert poplar", "desert fool", in 2014 won the honorary title of "Model of the Times". There is a local saying: "Su and the old man are black, Alxa is green".

Screenwriter and director Zhang Jieyong shared with the audience that as early as 2014, he had the idea of putting the story of Su and the old man on the screen, and after several years of field visits, he visited many obscure sand control heroes, countless "modern fools" who were determined to change the face of their hometown, and they used their youth sweat to cast the "Green Great Wall" across the desert, so they were moved, and then created "Shuttle Grass".

The whole film was filmed in Alxa, and by shaping the image of Su He and other characters, it pays tribute to the foresters who have stuck to planting trees and fixing sand in the Great Northwest all their lives. As a film with environmental protection themes, "Shuttle Grass" changes the narrative mode of traditional environmental protection films, and the whole film is full of youthful blood, racing, male and other elements, with a novel perspective, multi-camera, multi-angle shooting methods, bringing the audience a pleasant and vivid viewing experience.

Music becomes a huge highlight of the film, leading the audience into one emotional climax after another. The film music is co-created by the Mongolian young composer Norman and his gold medal partner Chu Zijie (a famous music producer in China, KongStudio music director, composer, arranger), Norman is responsible for the song creation of the film, including the opening song, theme song, ending song, Uzina, Qiqi Gema, Harin and many other steppe musicians to help, but also let the film's emotional space under the rendering of the music to be greatly sublimated.
The opening song "Migration" was composed by Norman, one of the singers of the auspicious Three Treasures, the Evenk vocalist, the professor of the Central University for Nationalities, WuZhina, the famous singer and professor of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Arts, qigema, sang, and the three musicians from the grassland joined hands to show the magnificent scenery of the Alxa Desert with musical language, laying a vast background for the film. The theme song "Shuttle Grass" is a collaboration between Norman and the young dance choreographer and lyricist Ding Yuchuan, a draft, they poured sincere emotions into the theme song, and the young singer Han Ruotong sang with deep feelings, which brought the audience to tears when the plot was unfolded in the movie. The ending song "Traveler's Song" is based on the folk song of the same name in Alxa, and Norman created two new choruses on the original song, which sounded in the aerial picture, sublimating the innermost persistence of the characters, and the young singer of Inner Mongolia, Harrin, sang, and the warm voice and rich regional colors were vividly presented.
