A resident who lives across from the building told the www.thepaper.cn that he saw something fall from the top of the building, followed by a "bang" and later learned that it was a boy who had fallen.
What surprised the residents of the community even more was that the police reported that Pengpeng was thrown from the roof by a woman.

Pengpeng's relatives told the surging news that at about 11:00 a.m. on November 28, Pengpeng's mother took Pengpeng to send his 7-year-old sister to a tutoring class, and while waiting for her sister to leave class, her mother took Pengpeng to hang out near RT-Mart on Fuyang North Road, because Pengpeng wanted to eat cake, so her mother took him into the store to choose a cake. While his mother was picking out the cake, Pengpeng walked out of the cake shop and disappeared. When Pengpeng's mother found that the child was missing, she first wanted to check the surveillance video in the cake shop, but the clerk refused. Then Pengpeng's mother called the police.

Pengpeng's relatives said that their families did not know the suspect before, nor had they seen it, let alone had any festivals.
The above-mentioned relatives said that near 12 noon, the family learned from the police that a boy in a nearby community had fallen from a building and had been sent to the Second People's Hospital of Anhui Province. The family went straight to the hospital and found that it was Pengpeng who fell from the building.

The circular said that at about 11:31 on November 28, the Luyang Public Security Bureau received an alarm that a child had fallen from a building in a community near Fuyang North Road.
