Fangxian is a desirable place, and its magic originates from the ancient Fangguo.
Fangguo, an ancient state that originated in the Era of Emperor Yao, migrated many times in history and once settled in the area of Fang County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. From Yao Shunyu to Xia Shang Zhou, until the end of the Spring and Autumn Period was destroyed by the Chu State, the Fang State survived for nearly two thousand years.
There are two theories about her origins: one is the indigenous state theory, according to the indigenous country theory, she is distributed in the area of today's Shiyanfang County.
The other is the theory of dividing the feudal states. I think the sub-sealing theory is more in line with history. There are also two views on the fenfeng theory, one is that we have fangxian today, and the other is located in the area of suiping county in today's Henan.
Basis in Shiyan Fang County:
1. The Qing Dynasty's "Integration of Ancient and Modern Books" records: "Shunfeng Danzhu Yufang is now Fang County."
2. "Huguang Tongzhi" of the Qianlong period: "Fangxian Spring and Autumn House Country."
3. In the "Bamboo Book Chronicle", does the Fangling of Danzhu Shunshun sealed in Fangling refer to the present-day Fang County in Hubei? The answer is yes: The Geographical Chronicle of the Book of Han notes: "Fangling County belongs to Hanzhong County, in the Yizhou Department." Tang Litai et al. 'Chronicle of The Lands' Notes: "Fangling is the present-day Fangling County of Fangzhou, and the ancient Chu Hanzhong County is also the place name of bashu." Song Deng Mingshi's "Dialectic of Ancient and Modern Surname Books": "Shunfeng Yaozi Danzhu Yufang, as the Marquis of Fangyi." In the spring and autumn, the defense of Nagisa is also its land. Qin is Fangling County. Tang Wude is Fangzhou. Son of Lingdan also. Qian Mu's "Examination of Historical Records and Geographical Names" pressed: "(Fangling) is now the rule of Fang County, Hubei Province."
4. The "Ming Yi Tongzhi" and "Ancient and Modern Book Integration" also believe that Fang County and Baokang County in Yunyang Province are also ancient Fangguo land.
In addition to the records of these types of books, in the relevant local documents such as the history of Fang County, Fang Zhi, place names, folklore, etc., it can also be seen that Danzhu was once branded in Fang County, such as the "Fang County Gazetteer" with "Yao Zi Ya", "Dan Zhu Tomb" and other place names or sites. The book notes "Yao Zi Ya": Forty miles northwest of the county seat, it is said that it is the residence of Yao Zi Dan Zhu.
So where did the Fangguo in Suiping County, Henan Province, come from? From the analysis of historical materials, it should be relocated by fangxian county in Shiyan. Henan friends are more true [Ya Ya], which is recorded in historical records.
Why is it called Fangguo? According to historical records, Fang Guo was a fiefdom of Yao Zi Zhu or his descendants. Originally, Zhu Feng was in Danshui, called Danzhu because of the name of the water, and its country name was also called Danguo or DanzhuGuo. Later, the country was converted from Danshui to Fang, so the name of the country began to be called Fangguo.
So, how did the "room" come about? There are these grounds:
1. Li Jifu: "Yuanhe County Atlas" contains: "Fangshan (present-day Fangxian County, Hubei), forty-three miles southwest of the county. To the southwest of the mountain there is a stone chamber, which resembles a room, because it is named. ”
2. Qing Gu Zuyu's "Minutes of Reading the History of Public Opinion" also states: "Fangshan, Fangxian County, Fufang County, Huguang, Yunyang Province, is thirty miles southwest of the county, and there are stone chambers such as rooms on all sides, and the county takes this as its name."
3. There is a similar record in Qing Tongzhi's "Fangxian Chronicle". Perhaps because of the bad name of the Danzhu country, or maybe the people follow the customs..., so after the Danzhu kingdom moved to the premises, it got the name of the country because of Fangshan. Later, Fang Guo moved to Suiping, and fang guo's name was also taken with him.
