The 2020 Shanghai Science and Technology Awards Conference was held today (December 1).

Dr. Li Xia's "Documentary Film "I Only Know You" - Professional and Warm Alzheimer's Disease Science Education Project won the first prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Popularization Award.
Through the film "I Only Know You", Dr. Li Xia's team worked with a team of professional directors to solve the public's misunderstanding of Alzheimer's disease, relying on "Internet +" and new media technology, and scientifically popularized the scientific knowledge of AD with an artistic and gentle attitude and professional quality. The film truly presents the story of the elderly with Alzheimer's disease in Shanghai, as well as the intervention of medical treatment, nursing institutions, and communities, and the support of the elderly couple.
The film was broadcast on CCTV Channel 12, Shanghai Television Documentary Channel, News Synthesis, documentary center, covering an audience of 400 million+. The number of online broadcasts reached 5 million+ times, and related popular science publicity was carried out on Weibo, Today's Headlines, Facebook, etc.
While the film has an exemplary effect on the whole country, it has effectively improved the early diagnosis rate of Alzheimer's disease patients, reduced the public's sense of shame, and guided relevant elderly diagnosis and treatment institutions and communities to pay more attention to Alzheimer's disease, emphasizing the concept of professional diagnosis and treatment and care for the whole process of management. And the formation of Shanghai-centered, nationwide Alzheimer's disease science publicity, to promote the formation of local standards for cognitive impairment care in other provinces and cities across the country such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangzhou and so on.
