The enthusiastic participation of Latin American exhibitors at the Expo is a microcosm of the vigorous development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin America. At present, China is the second largest trading partner of Latin America, and Latin America is China's second largest destination for foreign investment, and the economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin America has been steadily advancing.
Under the impact of the epidemic, China-Latin America trade has made steady progress. In the first ten months of this year, bilateral trade between China and Latin America totaled more than US$369 billion, an increase of 43.1% over the same period last year, reflecting strong resilience and great potential.
On November 2, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Peru, a national tide version of the famous Peruvian song "Song of the Mountain Eagle" was launched, becoming the latest footnote to the increasingly active cultural exchanges between China and Latin America.
During his state visit to Peru in 2016, President Xi Jinping, accompanied by then-Peruvian President Kuczynski, attended the closing ceremony of the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and Latin America. On the way, when visiting the photo exhibition "The Long River of Civilization - Mutual Learning between China and Latin America", they enjoyed the Chinese folk song "Yimeng Mountain Song" and the Peruvian folk song "Song of the Mountain Eagle" played by the Chinese and Secretist bands together.
In the adapted "Song of the Mountain Eagle" performance video, the musicians of the Guofeng Orchestra Zide Qin Society, dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, play the traditional Chinese instruments Guqin, Xi, Zhongruan and peruvian traditional instruments Kahun drums and rain sticks, integrating the unique Andean style with the oriental landscape and water, with a unique charm.
On July 4, 2020, visitors were viewing the "Lost El Dorado – Special Exhibition of Andean Civilization" at the China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing. The exhibition focuses on the Andean civilization and presents nearly 200 sets of pottery, gold, textiles and other artifacts from 11 museums in Peru.

In recent years, Exchanges between China and Latin America in various fields have become increasingly close, and mutual understanding has gradually deepened. In 2016, the "China-Latin America Cultural Exchange Year" was successfully held, which made the "China fever" in Latin America and the "Latin American fever" in China heat up simultaneously. Since then, projects such as the "China-Latin America Science and Technology Partnership Program", the "China-Latin America Young Scientists Exchange Program" and the China-Latin America News Exchange Center have been deepened, and the friendship between China and Latin America has become more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
