Al Horford and the Boston Celtics scored an impressive victory over the Philadelphia 76ers 88-87.
According to Keith Smith, Horford said:
"There's no doubt" tonight against the 76ers wasn't just another game for him, it was a great win, considering... Well...... All the more. Great victory. ”
Horford spent a season with the 76ers until they ended in what many considered an ugly ending.
It was an impressive victory for the Celtics. They didn't get much help from Jaylen Brown, and they seemed to be healing. Horford had 10 points, eight rebounds and a staggering 5 blocks. He's played some great basketball for the Celtics this season. The Celtics have a 12-10 record this season after a win over the 76ers.
He did much better in Boston than many expected. He didn't play last season, so a lot of people didn't think he'd do anything for Boston. If he can continue to play like this for the rest of the season, the Celtics could cause some problems in the playoffs. As long as Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown can play at a high level, the Celtics will be a team that will be difficult to beat in the playoffs.
It was an impressive victory for the Celtics. They will have a tough West Coast trip that will face the Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and then the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors. It's seven consecutive Celtics games against championship contenders.
