The Northern Wei Yuanzhen Epitaph, inscribed in the 20th year of Emperor Xiaowen of Wei (496), is a typical inscription belonging to the middle of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Seventeen lines, eighteen characters, a total of 306 characters, height 71 cm, width 71 cm. In the summer of 1926, it was excavated in the southeast of Gaogou Village in the north of Luoyang City, and later collected by Mr. Yu Youren and moved to the Forest of Steles in Xi'an. His strokes are thick and strong, the knots are tight, the font is strong, the mood is arbitrary, and the momentum is majestic.
Yuan Zhen (元桢) (446–496), the eleventh son of Tuoba Huang and the ancestor of Emperor Xiaowen of Yuanhong. In the second year of Emperor Xing's reign (468), he was enfeoffed as the King of Nan'an, the Great General of Jiazheng Nan, the Grand Official of Zhongdu, and the Grand Official of Neidu. Emperor Xiaowen ascended the throne, serving as the grand general of Liangzhou Town, the governor of Xi Rong, the general of the Western Expedition to protect the Western Regions, the yi tong sansi, and the history of Liangzhou. He was enlisted as a high official of neidu, and was appointed as an envoy, a servant, a general in Kaifu, a general in Chang'an Town, and a thorn in Yongzhou. Later, because of the crimes of "not being able to clean oneself and serve the public, helping to proclaim the emperor," wantonly greedy, breeding goods in private courts, and indulging in adultery and imprisonment...", the knighthood was stripped, and the commoner was returned to the first place, and imprisoned for life. After Emperor Xiaowen went south, Zhen congzhi to Luo, agreed to move the capital, restored the title of King of Nan'an, and became a general of Zhenbei and a general of Xiangzhou. Taihe died on August 2, 2000 at the age of 50. King Hui of The Emperor was buried on November 26 of that year at Mount Yao. Both the Book of Wei and the History of the North have been passed down. This zhi is the oldest time of the Yuan Wei Emperor Zi Zhi Shi.
